RitonOptics 30mm/1in QD Scope Mount

No instructions, Blem from factory. I think it works. Time will see.
Mine came scratched from the factory.Card says to go to site for instructions. It obvious they sell scopes and don’t care about mounts. No section for mounts. Took 30 mins to find torque pressure suggested by MFG on their site under a random general FAQ.All the random crap on the card and the one thing we need to know is not included. To anyone looking. It’s 18 lbs. idk the units per foot or whatever. Set your F.A.T. Wrench to 18.Also take not the way to adjust the clamp strength is to remove the mount from the rail and from the lever side push in on the screw/lever base to make the other end protrude. Then tighten the nut on the end a rotation or 2 and make sure to line it up with an angle and not flat indexed between the 2 dimples to prevent the nut from unscrewingAll in all I think it works. I was breaking clays we laid on the ground about 125 yrds out with a 20in barrel AR 15 using a bipod prone on the roof of an SUV (what happens when your buddies run out to 125 yrds and don’t realize they dropped 20 clays behind a tree. Lol). I mounted a cheap vortex Sonora 4-12x scope using this and we were using mil surplus 62 gr green tips. After wasting 10 shots zeroing it in on 2 clays I hit 18/18.So other than getting marred easily it works.Oh ya. To prevent forward/backward rocking I had to tighten it enough that the locking lugs made a small dent in the locking bar

Great mount.
Long story short. Using it for a Primary Arms scope on my AR. I didn't lap the rings, but torque to 18in-lbs per Ritons website. Spent a little time adjusting the quick release tension until it was firmly mounted, clamp tension was equal between front and rear, but not too difficult to clamp or release. Zeroed in with ease and kept that zero while installed. Once removed and re-installed the zero was close to the same and required very little to no correction. For the money I am quite happy with this unit.

Such a great set up.
So let’s see I bought the Riton scope the Riton sunshade and the Riton rings. These have held zero after putting 300 or more rounds though my 7.62x54R. Happy Happy Happy.

So good I bought 2
These mounts are amazing as long as you understand what you're buying and how to properly torque down a QD mount. I have one on my custom AR and another on my RFB 24 and I can pop either of the scope off and slap on an EoTECH 512 for close range work and then go right back to the scope with no loss of zero.It just does what it says it'll do. How rare is that these days?

High mount intended for flat top platform
I received a unit that had previously been opened and mounted. The retail packaging packaging was cut open and there were mounting marks on the mount itself. The actual product itself seems to be a well made cantilever mount, and the quick detach is a nice feature; however, it may not fit my needs. I'd hoped the opening between the base and rings would be good for using the iron sights on my pew pew, but the base height was too high (and my irons are not low profile by any means). The forward adequate, but the ring height is a little high. It may e work well for a flat top (AR) style pewpew.... which is likely its intended purpose, but it will not work well on my tradition style power. To get a good sight picture my cheek weld becomes a chin weld. Will likely be returning due to this alone.Worth trying on a flat top platform.

Sub MOA repeatability
This is a fantastic scope mount. Better than advertised. With my competition 224 valk I'm holding sub MOA grouping when detaching the scope. I will note, you should use loctite on the thread the nut rides in order to see your best results. Ultimately I'm jaw dropped. Great mount.

Great Quality
One of my new favorite brands in scope/red dots. And I own several of the other high quality name brands out there. Great quality for an affordable price.
