Beautifully made and striking to look at, this clock is a fantastic homage to the original. In reimagining the Astronomical Clock face into a clock for everyday use.. the artist has created a beautiful and original work of art. Absolutely can’t recommend enough if you’re looking for a subtle conversation piece.

Clock did not run, tried several new batteries but did not work at all

The clock is meticulously and finely crafted with a 24-hour movement and two sets of hour markers, one for a 24-hour clock and a second, inner ring for a 12-hour time. It takes a little getting used to, to use, but it is unique and rather fun to use. It is a conversation piece and a focal point wherever it is used. Photos will be posted soon.

We solved the problem of hanging it by slightly loosening the screws on the back at 10 o’clock and 2 o’clock positions, then ran some wire between the two, tightened the screws and hung it with a standard hook. So easy to do this way than trying to use the slot provided below the midpoint of the clock.

Looks just like the one in Prague, but just simple clock. I wanted the other parts to move!

Laser cut from sheets of white birch to provide a 3d reproduction of the astronomical clock in Prague. The clock is fairly heavy (about 1.5 pounds) as there are several layers of wood that are carefully screwed together and hand painted. There is a sturdy hole on the back of the clock to mount it solidly to a wall.The timepiece itself is a typical quartz clock that takes a single AA battery, and it only provides second/ minute/ hour movement (sorry, though the rest of the clock looks fantastic, it doesn't rotate to show the movement of the planets). Still, the overall beauty of the clock makes visitors stop and stare. This item is hand-made by an artist in Moscow, Russia, and arrived safely via FEDEX in about 2 weeks.

I love this beautifully made wooden clock. The astronomical portion doesn't work, but it LOOKS like it should! A lovely reminder of Prague. There's only one slight problem: the hole for hanging the clock from a wall is slightly off kilter, meaning that the clock does not quite hang up straight. An easy thing to fix with some adhesive tape or putty.
