ONGUARDBULLDOG STD LM-Lock, 4.53 x 9.06-Inch

I gave it 4 stars because it seems like the U frame and the locking mechanism fit a bit loosely, but the lock still locks strong. This lock comes with 5 keys, which is great if you ever lose one. The mount was easy to attach and can be attached in many different positions. The lock is a bit heavy, but I only require it for when I'm running errands, I keep it off when I'm fitness riding. The rubber coating on the lock keeps my bike from getting scratched which is a great feature. If you register with the company and purchase for 1, 10, or 15 dollars they company will reimburse you the full cost of your bike if it is stolen for up to 1, 2, or 3 years, 3 years costing 15 dollars. This company really stands by their products. I would recommend this for anyone who wants a quality lock that is easily mounted to your frame and doesn't jiggle or bounce when riding in the city.

The bracket for clipping the lock onto the bike while riding broke after about 2 years of use. It's all plastic, and despite the included rubber ring it's prone to twisting around the pipe you secure it to (even when the screws are tightened as much as possible). The part of the lock that clips on to the bracket has the same sort of twisting problem, making it sometimes frustrating to attach. The design of the bracket should have allowed it to be attached with only one hand, but poor build quality means it takes two. Oh well, all that's lost is a bit of convenience, so I'll only dock one star.The lock itself is still working just fine. I just keep it in my rack bag while riding now.

For the price, it is ok. This thing will secure your bike and probably hold up better than something you buy at WalMart against leverage attacks and cutting. It was also just the size I wanted which allows it to go through the frame, wheel and still have room to fit around whatever is available around the city. My Kryptonite Series 2 was just a little too small.What annoys me is that it is frequently tricky just to get it to lock. The Krypto locked way more easily. This takes some pushing, removing, jiggling of the key, etc. On that note, I really wish they'd just include 2 or 3 high quality keys as opposed to 5 low quality keys. They just feel really cheap and some actually seem to open the lock more quickly and easily than others. I haven't tried the mount, so I can't comment on that.This lock is fairly cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for. I might just keep it around as a spare and invest in another Kryptonite.

Although fairly small and compact, it is not really convenient to carry it around. It is better to keep one at work or at home while not used instead of carrying one around.Lost one bike that were tied with cable. Bought another bike and still used cable with combination lock. One day I noticed someone has attempted to brake the combination lock so I ordered this u lock after researching bike anti theft devices.This works as visual deterrent since for the thieves it will take too long to cut the metal bar.

The lock is solid and seems to do its job well (bike hasn't been stolen yet).Good stuff:The device for attaching it to the bike frame for storage screws together on the frame, giving me more confidence in its stability than the nylon strap version on my husband's, otherwise similar, Kryptonite lock.Its size is big enough to fit through my tire, around my frame, and around a bike rack.Bad stuff:The locking mechanism is very finicky. It took some time to practice with it to make the key engage the lock. I think my biggest problem was that I was trying to push the pieces together to make the key fit, when what I needed to do was pull the pieces apart.

Overall a great, solid, and unbreakable lock. I've used this lock for about 1 year, Left my bike stranded for 3 days, came back and it was still there. The only downside for this size in particular is its size, its frigging big, it took me a while to figure out how to install it on my bike so it would bother me when I pedaled and it wouldn't be in the way of my water bottles.

I work for a delivery company and hand cart's are often "borrowed" fron co- workers if they are not locked up. A chain will be cut if you are on vacation. This lock has kept my handcart safe for the last 2 years. It comes with 4 keys, 1 with a light. A couple other co-workers have now bought the same lock.

Unfortunately, Amazon has used info from two different Onguard U-locks, the Standard 8010 and the Standard 8010 LM. The difference is the "U" part of the LM is thinner, making the lock lighter. To disguise this tradeoff of ease of use versus strength, the rubber sleeve on the "U" is thicker to keep it 13 mm overall (the thickness of the metal on the regular Bulldog ulock). You can see the LM model in the Customer pictures. The Amazon picture is actually a mini-ulock model.The nice thing about either Bulldog 8010/8010LM is its in-between size (4.5" width). Just wide enough to fit around the new cement reinforced street signs in front of some stores, but potentially small enough to still mount on your bike.

Tenía apenas 5 días utilizándolo y esto fue lo que quedó del candado. Lo doblaron con la mayor facilidad para safarlo y robarse mi bicicleta. No gasten su dinero en esta marca, no es la calidad que ofrecen ni la seguridad que deberían proveer. Cero recomendable.

el candado se ve robusta y pesada es muy fácil de trasportar en tu bici con el porta candado practico con las 5 llaves que trae no hay que preucuparse mucho si se pierde una el detalle que tiene son los tapones de plástico que traen en los extremos del candado se quitan muy fácil y queda expuesto el mecanismo dela cerradura y se ve feo sin esos tapones quedaría mejor si son casquillos del mismo material del candado y que no se pueda quitar que esten fijos

The plastic housing for the nut on lock holder can not support the weight of the lock. It broke after the first ride. Its a design flow. The entire lock weight is supported by a thin plastic bridge under retainer nuts. It HAS TO BE REINFORCED BY METAL.

Hola, me pareció buen producto de seguridad, trae las 5 llaves y el soporte para la bici. es una buena elección para seguridad media-alta.

Look works smooth for a cheap u-lock , good visual deterrence more then a physical one. Recommended.
