1,000 Lumens = the brightness of a 75-Watt Equivalent LED lightbulb like we use in normal household lighting fixtures. So on high, it provides plenty of light!

Can this be used in the rain? I see the on/off knob pretty exposed, does the knob hole collect water? Thanks

I have never used the lantern in the rain. However, all of the knobs are on the top. It would not be a good idea to try it in the rain.

I’m trying to find a light I can use in my tent that won’t blind me. Is this the one - on the low setting?

The low setting might be a little bright in an otherwise dark tent. I'm guessing it's about like looking at a 25 watt light bulb. That's not too bright for me, but people have different ideas about what is too bright. Since I cannot say it is "very dim", I don't think anyone can make that decision but you, unfortunately.
