Musiclily Dual Hot Rail High Output Guitar Single Coil Sized Humbucker Pickups for Fender Squier Strat, White

This was to replace a hotrail that had finally died. This was cheap, loud, and had great sound.

I bought 3 of these for my old Strat as I needed something with a bit more power and I'm so glad I had! They are absolutely brilliant! I've been playing for over 30yrs so I know when a pickup is up to task or not. When clean they sound great but with distortion even better. I can recreate classic rock to modern metal tones with no feedback, no buzz and they're great for lead guitar with bridge or neck. They remind me very much of the Bill Lawrence L500 pickups from the 80s. Highly recommended and I WILL without doubt be buying more!

Fits as a direct replacement for a strat's single-coil without needing to modify the pick-guard which makes installation easy, the wiring diagram is easier to read than some & pretty sensible regarding which colours do what. Being a rail you can put it in any position and it won't look out of place, I chose the black colour but its more of a very dark grey that doesn't quite match other black pickups. The sound is ok it is an upgrade to the masking-tape wrapped import pickups from a 20yo beginner mini guitar with two single-coil pickups I'm refurbishing for a family member, but I was a little dissapoint; if I had bought this for one of my own guitars I'd be sending it back but cost is a major concern in this case and I doubt you can get better for this price. I'm guessing this is probably voiced similar to the middle pickup in the pre-wired set they sell, I wouldn't really call it a "hot" rail since its lower output than my other single-coils and it doesn't really work in the bridge position because the tone isn't bright nor loud enough. I probably wouldn't buy another of this specific pickup, but I might be tempted to try the pre-wired set as I've heard the pickups in that are specifically balanced & voiced for their positions; its a shame they don't offer those as separate products as I really need a good bright dual-rail pickup for the bridge of this project but think I'll put this in the neck position and look for something better for the bridge.

Fits well in my superstrat, sounds awesome too, I was expecting to hear volume differences between single coils, but no, it’s just amazing. Totally noiseless.

Installed this in the bridge position of my strat. I don't think its possible to get a pickup as good as this for only a few quid. Has clear instructions, super easy to install even for a novice like me. The only thing I wasn't prepared for was the extra bass, so had to adjust all my patches but that's not the fault of the pickup.

Used in my Harley Benton budget mustang copy, unfortunately couldn't utilise coil splitting due to this particular guitars wiring, and some slight hum is present but no more than there already was on this guitar. nice beefy sound but high end is not compromised, and for the price i am very happy with this.

Just not as good as it looks, cheap for a reason. Wierd as musiclily normally does good stuff. Better wiring chart would be beneficial too.

I was looking for some noiseless single coil sized to fit into my strat build that would not be too hot and still approximate a strat tone. Didn't want to spend a ton of money on popular branded units and gave these a try. Well, they work great in the mid and neck position. Not too hot but more powerful than conventional single coils. Cleans are very strat-like and when lightly driven, they yield a nice chimy 'just over the edge' tone. When pushed with a lot of gain, they remain noise/buzz free and yield a very nice aggressive tone, with more punch and warmth than stock single coils. I have not experienced microphonics with these. Very happy with them and I like the fact that they are a perfect fit in a strat pickguard. I plan to purchase a set of 3 for my next build.

Installé sur une basse Squier Bronco en remplacement du micro d'origine simple bobinage qui était bien trop bruyant. Maintenant, c'est absolument silencieux. Le son est assez chaud. Il faut quand même savoir démonter une basse et savoir souder.
