A: Yes it is a pale painted wood so you could change the colour

**Q: What wood is this made from?**
A: I am not sure of the type of wood , it's painted and it could be maybe pine ? . It is sturdy and I am very happy with mine and find it very useful and would purchase it again if I needed to .
