Mixed Feelings (SPOILERS)
I am a warrior fan since the first book of the first series. I hate to say this, but i think the stories are getting worse nd worse and repetitive. the characters are also losing their unique characteristics. If u havent read this book and plan on buying it, stop exactly right here. i dont want to spoil it for u. if u read it already, read on.first thing. the awful, awful names. i thought it couldnt get any worse when lioneye came out. then twigbranch appeared and wiped eveyone else off the map. twigkit was a dumb name to begin with, anyways. what happened to beautiful names like silverstream or ivypool?second. the characters. i hate to see twigpaw sooo bossy. i dont understand. however idiotic her actions are, she always gets away with "im just trying to help" its irritating. she seems selfish and childish to me from the very first book. no offense to the people who like her. just my opinion.third. alderheart falling in love. anyone notice that EVERY SINGLE thunderclan medicine cat has fallen in love before?! isnt this whole med cat falling in love tragic love story getting a bit OLD? i thought it was beautiful and sad with firestr and spottedleaf. i felt sorry for yellowfang. when leafpool fell in love i was like oh well. then jayfeather. i thought gosh seriously him too? i had absolutely no patience when alderheart announced he liked velvet. to make it worse cinderpelt confessed to liking firestar. i sort of guessed that she had a crush on him (it was pretty obvious really) but couldnt at least ONE medicine cat in thunderclan keep his/her head on and control their feelings?! cant the writer find some differnt story to tell instead of torturing the medicine cats?!fourth. the characteristics. i dont know, but i think a lot of the cats are losing their special characteristics. for example ivypool. dont get me wrong, i love her and am happy to see her finding a mate. the shes older than him thing doesnt really bother me. as long as they love each other, who cares? what i find weird is ivypool having kits. like i said, im glad to see her find someone who adores her. but having kits is just so unlike her. its almost sad to think of such a fiery she cat confined in the nursery.there is still some good stuff in this book. i like violetshine. i see bits of feathertail and ivypool and hawkwing in her. so thoughtful and brave and caring. and i think she and tree will make a good couple. but thats it. i hope the next book will be better.

Involving and compelling, wonderful series of life
My grandson and I are reading this series now for bedtime story time. It is a great, ongoing series. You don't want it to stop. The animals are animals, but have very human feelings and actions. It's a great story to involve children, while also teaching them the ups and downs that happen in life and how to deal with them, or how others deal with them, right or wrong. This is our second series group to read and we didn't want either to stop! The involvement with the characters is real and related to life events and walks the reader through it all.

A decent read with some pretty great stuff...
This was a weird book. My rating fluctuates between a 3.5 and a 4. Review will contain spoilers for all previous Warriors books as well as River of Fire. What I didn't like:Alderheart having a romance. Why was this necessary?Twigpaw's warrior name. Twigbranch? Seriously? The whole reason she was named that was so stupid! "Because you've grown from a twig into a branch." Wow. Still sounds awful. When I first read it, I thought it was a typo until Bramblestar continued talking.Dovewing and Tigerheart running off and doing their own thing and then "conveniently" coming back when they were needed. They really pissed me off because I liked the idea of Dovewing getting over Tigerheart and being mates with Bumblestripe, but no. We had to do the "forbidden" romances. How everyone is using poor SkyClan! You have cats coming and going in their camps, as well as ShadowClan not staying faithful and it's a huge mess and SkyClan never asked for it, OK?RiverClan coming back to the group and wanting help. It's your own bloody fault that you need help because you refused to let anyone near you, drama queens.Tigerheart being brought back to life was...weird. I can't decide if I like it or not. What I liked:Violetshine and Tree are adorable.Tree's new job!! I genuinely love the idea of a Clan ambassador to settle disputes and having it be someone who is outside the Clans' influence!Resurgence of Darktail's group. Knew that was going to happen.Jayfeather's sass.Briarlight's death. It was AWFUL. I cried. But it was so well done because we've had Briarlight around for two whole series now (?) so we've gotten used to her being there, and this came out of nowhere and was superbly done.WindClan is so helpful and nice now. It's refreshing after dealing with the Onewhisker doppelganger who ruled. (I still believe that Onestar was a bad clone of Onewhisker and Onewhisker is off int eh woods, living out his life).Greystripe, Brightheart, Cloudtail, and some of the other old gang are still around. It really hit me with this book that Greystripe is the last character who has been around since book one. BOOK ONE. I will be sobbing for hours when he dies. Just go look for me in the closest restroom. As a whole, I liked this book. Twigpaw (I refuse to use that awful name) was better in this, but I still don't like how she's trying to fix everything herself. She is seriously living up to the "bossy ThunderClan" stereotype. The whole thing with Tree being able to see and talk to dead cats was cool. We've never had anything like that before. But now you have StarClan bringing cats back to life to make them leader and...why? Tigerheart ran off from his clan. He abandoned them, and StarClan wants to make him leader?? Not only that, but as Bramblestar said, having a Tigerstar leading ShadowClan sounds really, really bad. I'm going to have a hard time looking at Tigerheart and not picture Tigerclaw now. The ending to the book was also super happy and that was weird because when has a Warriors book ever ended on a happy note? Other than series' end and a few special editions.All-in-all, a decent read with some pretty great stuff, and Jayfeather's sass had me dying laughing. Super curious to see where book 6 takes us as I have zero ideas right now.

Perfect Lead on
Perfect lead on from the darkest night, it's a relief that the Erin hunters are finally killing off some Thunderclan favourites as well as showing a non-grumpy side to Jayfeather. I have been anticipating this book for ages and was not disappointed!

Amazing but I think they're running out of names…
Amazing descriptive scentences, I feel like Violetpaw needs to be able to let readers relate to her, becuse I find myself scanning her chapters instead. I also feel like Erin Hunter is running out of names to call warriors. I give 4/5 but overall, a great read!

purrfect
A stunning warriors book yet again following Alderheart, Twigpaw/branch and Violetshine's lives with great description. I will greatly miss the special, kind cat that was lost but I am looking forwards to the next book. And ShadowClan have found their place finally.
