AYAMAYA Waterproof 4/6 Person Easy Pop Up Tents for Camping with Vestibule

This is a 3 years update from purchase. I am disabled, and this tent is amazing. It's short, but amazing. I'm about 5'8 and can't stand up in it. But, I don't spend all my time in my tent when camping. As a disabled person who loves camping, this tent comes together and breaks down super easy. There is a little bit of a learning curve when putting it away. But honestly, once you have it. It's easy. The tent bag needs a bit of more reinforcement for the zipper, but honestly that's nothing compared to how well this tent has held up for 3 years. I tend to sleep in this tent alone, I rarely wake up cold. It holds heat really well, and airs out really easy. I've used this tent to go camping in the old redwood growth. Foggy, and wet. I have never had any issues with mold or condensation for this environment like I have with other tents. I let my sibling borrow this for a camping trip. It ended up heavily raining on their trip. They were the only one who had a dry tent on the inside. Everyone else on the trip was soaked to the bone. Some of the tents on the trip were really expensive REI tents. All in all, I plan to buy a few more of these for easy camping trip with everyone and anyone who will join. I just wish I could get a new bag for my current one.

I've had my Ayamaya tent set up UNDER a slightly larger hoop house for about the last 8 months (as of May 2024) and before that had used it on numerous occasions. I was looking for a spacious pop up tent, mesh window in the ceiling, LOTS of ventilation, windows accessible from inside and outside of the tent, and all waterproof. This Ayamaya tent fits all the categories and is very well constructed - everything functions beautifully! I think this is one of the best pop-up tents out there, BUT! I've protected it from northern Colorado wind, hail, and sun by keeping it set up continuously for several months at a time and pretty much protected 24/7 with heavy-duty tarps and shade cloths over a larger hoop house surrounding the tent. It's in excellent shape still. (Nylon or Polyester will deteriorate and tear easily, especially with prolonged sun exposure ) I love: the design lines of the curvy fiberglass poles; I have the green color - soothing; I can kneel inside and my head doesn't touch the ceiling (I'm 5'5" tall); when I do take the tent out of it's protective 'house' and sleep under the stars...the ceiling window (it does have a rain cover) is perfect for star gazing and hot nights. This tent has plenty of ventilation (all openings have a fine mesh layer as well as rain cover - 2 huge doors at either end, 2 large side windows...plenty of air! Zippers are smooth and excellent; doors have an awning arrangement (with poles supplied for one end,) nice for light rain entry or shade. I've used the tent in pretty bad storms and it worked very well - no leaks...however, mostly I set it up it on a wood platform which can collect water and get under the tent but so far, not an issue. The fiberglass poles are flexible (to a degree) and will bend astoundingly in strong wind but hold up very well IF guy lines are being used (providing more rigidity and support for the tent - a MUST step to take!...as well as securing the base of the tent with supplied stakes. I studied and studied and studied the videos on how to fold it back up so it's second nature and not a point of utter disappointment. ( I highly recommend this approach - it seems to be the downfall of most pop-up tents of similar design) . Overall, yes, I love this tent - it's wonderfully roomy for 2 people, and probably one or two other people as well (not tested by me yet). Treat the tent with care - Poles will probably break if thrown while coiled up in it's case, and it lands on its edges (like a wheel) - it will suddenly collapse the pole structure which may (and has) broken in 2 places! CAN BE REPAIRED with a sturdy metal sleeve to 'join' the two ends of the broken section of pole . (This happened with another similar tested tent - not the Ayamaya - but I mention it so you don't give up on the tent if this happens to you!) Beware - later additions (ie a clear rain cover for the ceiling mesh window) offered the next year after my tent purchase, was advertised to fit my tent....sadly, no, it did not. The tent design had changed enough in one year to NOT accommodate my earlier version of the tent. It was a great idea, but in this case, I wouldn't recommend anything sold to retrofit...it's not that fancy of a tent operation that steadily tracks its model changes/'improvements'. But for the price point it's an excellent choice - if you take the normal tent securing precautions using the guy lines and staking the tent down) and don't expect it to perform as a high-class mountaineering tent, it's a joy! It will hold up in high winds (fiberglass poles will bend to scary degrees but spring back to shape right away, or snap if the action is too quick as in high blustery winds...in which case you have the wrong tent for the situation. Pack out! ) It probably will not hold up well to 1" hail or raging extended and violent thunderstorms! It's a great tent though, and I find it a joy to use and be in.

This tent has some nice features and seems to be quality made. I provided a video review as well and showed how it performed. Setting it up was super easy as a pop up tent should be. I sat inside it and had my daughter spray the outside with a garden hose on a drenching shower setting and found no signs of leaking. The water ran right off the outside as it should. Keep in mind that this tent is made of two structures, an outer shell that provides water protection and support for the inner, and the inner structure that keeps bugs out and encloses you. The entry way in between the inner and outer openings is not completely sealed from the elements. It has a flooring for you to step on but there is a small gap along the outer edge, I think this is where people are possibly getting some condensation on the "inside". You could fit 4 to 6 but 6 would be snug. My 9 year old and I slept in it and it had a comfortable amount of moving around space. Taking the tent down is a little confusing at first but once you get it, it's no issue. Another customer made a great video showing the tear down process. If you are looking for a tent to take right from the car to your campsite, it's great and simple. If you are backpacker and intend to carry your tent into the woods, this may not be the best fit. Its collapsed size is not what I consider to be compact. I gave it a 4 star rating only because I think the collapsed size can limit its use a little. The quality of the tent is very good and I had no issues with shipping etc. I will use this in the future for family style camping.

Love this purchase! Easy to set up, difficult at 1st the put away but once I figured it out it is seamless. Diffently a keeper.

Very nice tent, what i really like about it is how easy it is to put up. its an all in one design and you just unfold it and it pops up on its own. what i don't like is taking it down. This has to be folded, twisted and turned all these different ways to get it to fit in the bag. It does have instructions on the bag but they are hard to understand. if you do it a few times its not bad but if your a person like me who only uses the tent a couple times a year you will forget how to fold it up and be very frustrating. I still going to give the tent 5 stars though because i love the concept and quality and it checked all the boxes for me. Just need to practice packing it away more often

This is the first review I have ever left on Amazon, and I felt compelled to with how much of a nightmare this product was. I have been camping my whole life and have typically used the standard model tent with poles. I have seen pop-up tents becoming popular over the last decade so I figured I would give one a try. At first everything was ok with the tent. My wife and I were able to open it and use it. The tent is a little short in height for my liking as I was not able to stand up at all. I am only 6ft so I am not that tall. That wasn't the problem. The issue with this product is either one of two things: 1) I had a faulty tent that was unable to re-fold back to its original small shape. 2) This product is poorly engineered and flat out won't refold. I was with my wife and 6 other people, and not one of us could get the tent to refold. To make means worse, a massive storm rolled in and we were stuck outside trying to get the tent folded up to get it in the car. I had to end up breaking the poles and shoving in the tent covered in mud into my car as I wanted to return it to Amazon for a refund. The 8 of us collectively spent over an hour trying to get the tent to re-fold to no avail. Yes there are instructions on how to refold the tent that are absolutely piss poor. I hope this review causes you to rethink your purchase. I have been making consumer products for 15 years and never try to talk bad about a company. I felt that I needed to review this product as I wasted so much time in not just trying to get it back in my car, but then to have to wrap the whole thing in plastic to ship back since it couldn't fit back in the original box. So then I had to spend an additional $25 on shipping plastic wrap in order for UPS to take the Amazon return. 2 of the other couples I was with also had different brand pop-up tents that went up in minutes and down minutes seconds like its supposed to. Stop reading now and look for a different product. End of rant.

The flat tent folded up in its bag is easy to pack in a loaded car. Set up is simple. My five year old helped me. Soon he will be able to do it himself. Putting the tent away takes a little more practice. Once you get the hang of it, it’s not hard, but honestly I’ll probably have to relearn again next time we use it. An adult and two kids with all our stuff fit comfortably in the tent. It is too short to stand up in it, but that didn’t bother us. It has a hook above one door for a lightweight lantern or fan. Below each window is a pocket for small items. We had light rain and the tent did fine with that. We also had wind gusts up to 30 mph in the evening. Luckily they died down before bedtime. The tent is designed to fold relatively easily. This means that in the wind it will look like it has collapsed but then it will pop back up. I wouldn’t want to be in it when there was high wind, but for this trip it was just interesting to see. On every other tent I’ve used, the solid fabric on doors and windows is on the inside with the mesh on the outside. This tent is opposite. So in the middle of the night when you want to zip the solid closed to keep warmth in after it has cooled down, you unzip the mesh and let the bugs in so you can unfasten and zip the solid covering. Also, the solid does not zip on the bottom of the windows or doors. The mesh windows have a zipper in the middle so you can reach your arm through to roll up or unroll and zip the window although it is awkward. Solid on the outside also means, when you have closed it for privacy, someone on the outside can unzip and look in (my kids and the campsite neighbor who wanted to borrow a lantern). This tent would be perfect for backyard kids camping. For our family at a campground I would prefer something else.

I received this tent last December but before I could test it out it got cold and snowy so I had to wait a few months. Needless to say we've got the time and good weather now to do just that. My children and I had the chance to set it up a few times in the back yard and spend the evening in it. There's more than enough for me, and my 3 kids ranging from 11 to 5 years in age. First of all, it is by far the easiest and quickest tent I've ever had the pleasure to set up. Truly, you take it out of its carrying case and it literally pops into place. Just use the provided stakes and guy lines to give it a bit more rigidity to hold up to the elements and you are in great shape. I really enjoyed the ability to place bags and shoes in the vestibule for storage out of the elements. We did not encounter any rain so I can't speak to the tent's ability to withstand that. There are 2 windows on the sides in the main part of the tent that are reachable from the inside and outside that provide some nice cross ventilation. As well as a small vent port with a post that keeps it open if you desire. the front can be unzipped and rolled back to provide even more ventilation on warm evenings where it isn't raining. Folding it up was a bit of a trick the first few times but there is an included instruction manual as well as a very helpful youtube clip from the manufacturer on how to fold it up. Now, it's a piece of cake to set up and tear down. All in all we had a very good experience in this tent. I can't wait to take it out into more camping scenerios in the months ahead.

El espacio es el que indica y en realidad está funcional. Sin embargo creo que por ese precio se puede comprar otra más padre, con más detalles, por dentro es muy simple, La parte donde pueden estar los perros no está bien sellada y les entra frío. Armarla fue fácil pero guárdala nos costó trabajo.

It is really an instant tent, and the space is perfect for all the camping stuff. We used a big inflatable mattress, and it fitted perfectly. The mosquito nets are great to have with the windows open, all the air can flux. You just have to practice the folding when taking it home , but still it does not take time to put back
