Does not fit .... buyer beware !!!
I have a dometic DM2652 and I like to buy replacement parts to have on hand for the just in case situations where your out camping with family ....and anybody that has an RV knows stuff goes out at the worst times such as this past Labor Day Weekend while we were out of town .... fridge takes a dump and ol Dad that likes to be prepaired.... goes to break Into the ol "I've got this handled box" .....pull out the new element for the win and this hunk o junk won't fit so spent 2 hrs on the road trying to find one. Luckily found a RV tech that had one on hand so the $50 savings I thought I was gonna save buy buying this one cost me in the long run you get what you pay for like they say so just a heads up don't waste your money on this one buy the Dometic brandPS...... oh and since I was trying to be prepaired and I ordered back in July and just recently needed it now I'm stuck with this hunk o junk missed the return date I guess and by the way. Dometics heating element mic's at 9.5 this one was right at 10

Barely fit it was so tight
The product works great. When I removed the original one from my 1999 5ver, with a few twists and pulls upwards, it slid up and out. I noticed that there wasn't any corrosion. It was just heat color changed. When. I went to insert the new one, it went in the first 1.5" just fine. Then the struggle began. I had to invent a strap to fit over the elbow where the rubber meets the metal, and wiggle it back and fowarth while applying downward force. It was very strenuous, and took a good 45 minutes of about 30° worth of turn back and fowarth. If getting it in was this hard (I used wd40 too) then I can assume getting it out is going to be damn near impossible. Let's just hope the product has a long life.

Semi-ok-quality
I purchase this on March 2021, now is Aug 2022. All was fine until now. It is now open circuit, no continuity. I get KW/day usage summary. So, before it opened on me I notice my electric bill went up each day, meaning it shorted then burned up internally before it opened. Lasted one year or so.

Good product
Good product, fast shipping, only issue was the thickness of the heating element was slightly thicker than original heating element , new one is 10mm my old element is 3/8" its a slight difference but it would not fit in the original tube/slot that the old unit came out of. The tube/slot had to be modified to make it fit. I had to slice the side of the tube/slot and expand the tube slightly. The new unit now fits and is working as it should. I don't know if this is a manufacturing issue or i simply ordered the wrong element. My refrigerator is quite old and I may have ordered the wrong heating element. But the element is a good product and works as it should. I would buy it again if needed.

You could have to pull your fridge out to install these.
This review isn't a knock on the product itself but rather the info I received leading me to buy the product. I Googled and viewed several videos that led me to believe I could install these heating elements easily and without moving the fridge out of its built in cabinet. I could find absolutely no way to install these without moving the fridge out at least a couple of inches. I assume there are RVs where this isn't the case but make sure you check it out before deciding to invest a lot of time and bloody knuckles. A good test is to try to remove the old elements. If you can't then you'll have to move the fridge out.

Just a little too thick to fit, but I forced it in.
The old one is 9.70 mm thick. This new one is 10.07mm thick. Old one fits in and out very easily. The new one was too thick to fit at first, into my Dometic RM 2652.But with sandpaper on the element and brushing out the tube, and using penetrating oil, I was able to force it in. Do NOT use gun brushes in that tube, they are one way, very easy in, almost impossible to get out. But after I forced it in and let the smoke from the oil burn off, it worked well. Freezer ten below zero after a few hours on AC.

Great replacement part!!
The product is as described. It was a replacement part for my RV refrigerator, which now works well. Only 4 stars due to the chaos on the shipping. It was supposed to be 2 days but ended up being 5 days and then Amazon was showing it had been lost! Whom ever is responsible for shipping it to me, QUIT sending things USPS. Again part good, shipping bad!
