cool, no complaints
niche, and fun. its wierd and i like it. coverts stuff to square waves and such. turn it down low so its barely audible and you can find a nice sweet spot.

One of my favorite effects, but really annoying to dial in.
Did what I thought it would. It doesn't sound like super mario or anything (a bitcrusher can't get you that sound) but definitely adds a peculiar character to your tone. One thing though, it is very difficult to dial it in. You need to carefully arrange your effects around it because it easily can degrade your sound depending on where you put it. Distortion must go BEFORE it, not after, which sucks because my high dollar marshall has no effect loop. Again, it's not a synth, and won't make you sound like an arcade game, but does give your playing an interesting character. Worth the money in my opinion.

It's a great effect to add some digital grit
You can't find a bit crusher pedal this cheap anywhere. It's a great effect to add some digital grit. The "sample" and "bit" knobs seem to do the opposite of what you'd expect, but that's a commonly known issue. The "bit" knob seems to reduce the sample rate resulting in digital type distortion. Really cool for doing high single note arpeggios. The sample knob seems to introduce a type of white noise, which can get crazy, but sounds cool when dialed in moderately. The switch for synth/guitar/bass changes the frequencies this pedal applies to which is handy for different instruments. I've only tested this on guitar in the low frequencies, but it should sound killer on bass as well. Seems to be well built in great micro form-factor. Makes it easy to squeeze onto a pedalboard. Switch feels sturdy and should take a good stomping. I've had other Mooer pedals that held up well on the road, so I expect his one will too.
