I`m a SCUBA professional for over 20 years. these are good quality and rarely thick for kids size. only problem i ordered one payed for one and recieved two and i caant find a way to report to send back.

I like the quality of the wetsuits, they’re made well. And I especially like how hard the seller tries to please their customers. It’s been over a year since I made my purchase for my son, so the wetsuit has survived two summers worth of swimming pool’s without cracking or fading. Admittedly, I haven’t always remembered to rinse the suit out AND I’ve washed in in my washer with regular detergent and sodium percarbonate (let’s just say that it was needed…). It’s held up fine. I see stitching and zipper complaints in the reviews - haven’t seen anything like that in the one that my son uses and I’ve abused in the washer. My only complaint is the neck size. I had to make slits around the neck for it to fit comfortably - my son doesn’t have a large neck, he’s a medically fragile kid who’s so thin that he shivers in heated pools, so it makes me think that the neck size isn’t proportional to the rest of the suit which fits like a glove. Yes, it’s hard to get on - it’s a wetsuit, not a leisure suit. It’s supposed to be very snug to hold body heat and water inside the suit. The price has gone up significantly since I purchased it last time, so it will probably be our last one. I would have been able to sell it because the condition still is great, but not with the slits that had to be made in the neck area. I’m glad that we got 2 years out of it. It will be too small next summer.

UPDATE: Team Magnus reached out to offer us a replacement, so I’m amending the review to reflect that they stand by their product. ORIGINAL: In theory, these were really perfect for our not-so-hot summer days in the pool, EXCEPT that the stitching came out of the suit within a week and THEN the pull ribbon broke within two weeks AND the zipper broke within 6 weeks. Very disappointing for light to moderate use.

This was the only 5 mm wetsuit I could find in a child's size and it was perfect! They run a little small (my son is only 4'7" and weighs about 60 lb and I believe he wears an XL. He used this under his long wetsuit when he got SCUBA certified in a cold lake. He also wears this over the summer when he's just playing in the lake. Keeps him warmer because he has no body fat. Also makes it so I don't have to put sunscreen all over him :) GREAT quality, very warm, highly recommended!

I bought about 8 suits before the season started for my surf camp and on my first time using them almost every zipper broke off of the suit ! Cheap ! And now it won’t let me return or exchange for a new one . Team magnus please right this wrong !

My son loved this wetsuit. He's very skinny and freezes in the water. The wetsuit fit perfectly for his height, but was a little big around in the arms and legs, because he's so skinny. The neck actually fit up close on his skin. After wearing it for about 3 hours to swim in our pool, this is what his neck looked like. It's sore too. The rub burn lasts for several days, and comes back every time he tries to wear it. I'll have to return it. Sad, because it seemed made well, was cute, and really warm. Maybe someone who wasn't so skinny would fit tighter into it and it wouldn't rub so much. Also, beware of the zipper. My son tried to zip himself using the lanyard and zipped the skin on his back up in it, it left about a half inch long bruise, so don't let your littles do it themselves.

I got this for my niece and she loves it. It kept her warm in spring in Maine and is continuing to use it through the whole summer! Great company and this product seems like its holding up to a 7 year old!

Purchased the 7-8 for my son that is a typical size 7 and a 5-6 for my daughter that is a typical 6/6x. Both fit snug but not too tight. The suits stretch enough to be comfortable but are snug enough to keep them warm. The only part of the suit I was a bit disappointed with is the zipper; it is plastic. We have not had an issue with the zippers yet, but that looks like the one point these suits may break.

Zu diesem Kindershorty von TEAM MAGNUS kann ich nur gutes berichten. Das Material ist angenehm im Tragekomfort (Aussage unseres Kindes) uns absolut fehlerlos verarbeitet. Die Nähte sind tip top, der Reißverschluss ist mangelfrei eingenäht und leichtgängig. Der von einigen Käufern erwähnte Chemiegeruch ist der typische Geruch von Neopren. Wer jemals in einem Surfshop war, wird diesen Geruch sofort erkennen und wer wie ich sein gefühlt halbes Leben im Neopren verbracht hat, wird diesen Geruch lieben. Auf Grund meiner Erfahrung als Wassersportler möchte ich ganz kurz auf zwei grundsätzliche Unterschiede von Neopren eingehen. Ich halte das für sehr wichtig bei der Kaufentscheidung. Es gibt s.g. einseitig kaschierte und doppelt kaschierte Anzüge. Neopren ist ja eine Art Kautschuk also Gummi. Kaschierte Neoprenanzüge sind außen quasi aus "Gummi" und innen kaschiert. Doppelt kaschiert bedeutet also: es gibt keine gummierte Schicht. Innen wie außen ist der Anzug so, wie der hier beschriebene TEAM MAGNUS. Was bedeutet das nun für die Praxis? Der einseitig kaschierte Anzug ist wind- und wasserdicht !! Der doppeltkaschierte NICHT !! Soll heißen, unabhängig von der Dichtheit bzw. Undichtigkeit an Hals-, Arm- und Beinbündchen dringt das Wasser beim doppeltkaschierten Anzug durch das Material hindurch und man wird nass. Genauso, als hätte man nur einen dicken Pulli an. Der gummierte Anzug lässt das Wasser lediglich an den besagten Bündchen eindringen. Bei einem sehr eng anliegenden Anzug kann das auch völlig wasserdicht sein, so dass man in diesem Anzug nahezu trocken bleibt. Was ist nun der Sinn eines Neoprenanzuges in dem ich nass werde? Die im Neopren gespeicherte Feuchtigkeit wird durch Sonne und Körperwärme erwärmt und schützt den Körper vor Auskühlung. Die Benutzung empfiehlt sich besonders bei kühlerem Wasser und warmen Außentemperaturen, weil er die Körpertemperatur nicht ungehindert rauslässt und durch seine Offenporigkeit für ein schweißfreies Klima im Anzug sorgt. Besonders am Strand spielende Kinder werden das zu schätzen lernen. Ein gummierter Neopren hingegen speichert die Hitze im Inneren, heizt sich durch eventuellen Sonnenschein noch weiter auf und nach kurzer Zeit schmort man im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes im eigenen Saft. Diese Anzüge sind bei kaltem Wasser und niedrigen Außentemperaturen empfehlenswert. Da sie zudem winddicht sind, halten sie den Körper auch bei häufigem Wasserkontakt (z.B. Spritzwasser oder reinfallen) lange Zeit warm. Ich hoffe dieser Exkurs war nicht zu langatmig, vielen Dank fürs lesen ;-)

This is the Team Magnus Kids Wetsuit, made of 90% thick neoprene / 10% nylon Jersey and has a really good sturdy YKK zip with pull cord to enable self dressing. This 3/4 wetsuit also comes with its own drawstring bag. Comes in sizes from 3 to 12yrs and is available in 3 different shoulder colours purple, green or orange on a blue suit with Devilfish logo. I love this wetsuit, we've had a few, and these do come up slightly smaller. We ordered a 7/8 and our 3 n half year old is seen modelling in pics. I reckon by aged 5 it will fit comfortably, just in time for holidays after lockdown, hopefully. The finishing is outstanding, we've had a few of these and this one reeks quality and thickness. I fully recommend this wetsuit, as my daughter loves it and we cannot wait to actually use it in the sea, not the bath for a change.

Toller Anzug. Mein Sohn friert total im Schwimmkurs und mit dem Anzug nicht mehr. Er hatte ihn das 1. mal an und sagte es ist ihm sogar etwas warm. Toller Anzug. Ist ein langer Bendel am Rücken so dass die Kinder ihn selbst auf und zu machen können. Hals ist etwas eng aber wir lassen einfach ein Stück den Reisverschluss offen. Mein Sohn ist 1,14m und wiegt 18 Kilo. Eher schlank. Kleidergröße 116/122. aber hier passt super Größe 104. sonst wäre er viel zu groß und hält auch nicht so warm. Echt sein Preis wert.

Bought the 5-6 year for a 4 year old and the 7-8 for a 6 year old (both average size kids). When they first tried the suits on I was unsure that they fit as they looked a little too snug. However after around 30 minutes of wearing them the suits seemed to relax and mold to their body. Both children said they were much more comfortable and seemed to fit perfectly. The material is so much thicker than the others but that does not mean they are more restrictive because they are not. The children have no problems swimming and moving around. The suits are extremely well made and are comparable to those that cost inexcess of £100 and more. The children have swan both in the sea (UK) and our above ground unheated pool and have remained warm and dry. The zip has a handy strap that allows the children to get in and out of the suits by themselves. There is also a velcro fastening at the back of the collar for extra protection and although I have read several reviews about the poor quality zip and zips breaking easily I can honestly say that up to date we have not had a problem with the zips, in fact they are exactly the same as the other zips on their old wet suits.
