A durable and essential piece of kit if you are like me and need wired headphones for quality and low latency. There is no discernible quality reduction. This has served me well for months without fail. No errors with the iPhone as they have the MFI sorted. Sound quality is excellent. They are the right price for something of this high quality. If you have a lightening port iphone, and want to use wired headphones, this is perfect. Ugreen keep delivering what we need; I am really pleased they do.

Very good, with an iPhone, durable and high quality. I don’t know how long they will last, I think at least 6 months with very heavy use. That sounds bad but really is the best you can hope for if you use it out and about.

I paid £13.99 for this, which is a bit expensive for an adapter, but it does what it’s supposed to do. I bought it in Nov 2025, and I’m writing this after about one month of use. Sound quality is clear, the mic works fine, and it connects straight away. It fits perfectly with my headphone cable and feels secure with a firm grip—nothing loose or wobbly. Build quality feels solid so far. Overall, it’s a good product that serves its purpose well. Slightly pricey, but no issues with performance.

Yes it DOES connect an external microphone. I am using the Merlin birdsong app and was frustrated at it not picking up songs using the built in microphone on an iPhone. Today my wife and I went for a walk, both with Merlin on iPhone 14s. She caught 12, I caught 21 with a simple external lavalier microphone connected with this adapter. That should prove it! When you plug it in, the iPhone will spot it and ask if you are connecting Headphones or Other. Just tell it, and it will be so. I chose Other because it wasn't headphones, but on checking Settings it had connected External Headphones and not the built in Microphone. Whatever, it works.

What a relief to find a good one. I tried a couple of others at half the price, but they were awful, Headphones cutting out constantly. Hopefully it'll keep working this well for a decent time. It's also more flexible than the last one I bought.

I’ve cycled through a lot of cheaper Lightning Adapters over the years that look fine and then suddenly stop working - I don’t have those concerns with UGreen. Used a lot of UGreen products over the years and I’ve always been happy with them, and this feels like no exception. You might pay a little more than other alternatives, which is why I reticent to buy one for so long - but I finally caved and I have to say the build quality speaks for itself. Sturdy connectors, a nice firm braided cable, just plugs and plays into an iPhone 13 (or presumably any Lightning model provided you don’t have a case blocking the port) and the other end will fit any 3.5mm jack perfectly. I’m using mine with a pair of KOSS PortaPros with no issues or any ‘Unrecognised Device’ pop-ups that some of these things can trigger. Well worth the extra few quid if it holds up!

Since Apple no longer makes a Lightning-to-3.5mm adapter, this is a solid contender for the next best option. The build quality is good and it appears to be as well made as the official Apple unit. Works as advertised and very useful where sound fidelity is important.

Worked well but both have broken within 4 months

Nonostante abbia cuffie sony e airpods, mi è tornata la nostalgia del via cavo. Dopo una lunga ricerca per evitare di acquistare prodotti di bassa qualità, mi sono imbattuta in questo adattatore, dato che il mio originale apple mi ha abbandonato. Sembra più resistente e qualitativamente superiore, già dalla confezione . Sono soddisfatta.

L'adaptateur en lui-même fonctionne bien, toutefois je l'ai retourné car la prise jack ne tenait pas bien en place, car modèle défectueux. Sinon parfaitement reconnu par l'iPhone.
