Seagate Game Drive for Xbox 1TB SSD External Solid State Drive, Portable USB 3.0, Designed for Xbox One, with 2 Month Xbox Game Pass Membership (STHB1000401)

I purchased the Cyberpunk 2077 special Edition 2tb version for ₹5399 on prime day sale on August 6. The ETA was 1 week, however, I got the product luckily the next day, exactly 36 hours after ordering. The packaging was slightly tampered at the left edges but the hard drive is intact. The 5tb version remains out of stock for a very long time. In fact the stocks for the 2tb version is also limited. Initial impressions:Pros1. Design- 5/5The material used is plastic but the attention to detail with regards to Cyberpunk 2077 deserves a huge round of applause. The colour of the USB 3.0 cable is simlar to that of the Super HDMI from the CP77 Xbox One X. Even the LED light above the Xbox logo in the front uses a similar colour to the the extra tiny blue light found in the front of the Console, which is inspired from the game. At the back you have the Cyberpunk 2077 logo and the slogan that says "Where's Johnny?".2. Installation 5/5: I have heard in many posts in internet that it may not connect properly in the front USB of the Console. Hence, I did not take any risk and directly connected it at the back. Xbox detected it immediately and formatted it for games and apps.3. Storage 4/5: Out of the 2 TB, the usable storage is 1.7 TB. Which is fair enough for storage. I wish the 5 TB version would make sense for storing more games.4. Value for money 4/5: It is absolute value for money for the price of ₹5399. The MRP at the back of the box says ₹9999 which is obviously an exaggerated number.Cons:1. Reliability 2/5: I have been reading many reviews in the internet that the longevity of Seagate Hard Drives has decreased drastically in the recent past. This is the first time I am using a Seagate. My WD has been working fine for the past 3 years. You still get 3 years limited warranty which I cross checked in the Seagate website.The only other nitpicking as of now is that there was no Game Pass code with this version or any other Xbox goodies for that matter. The product page also shows no signs of game pass codes either. I am fine with it. But wanted to let you know.I am still testing the drive and will update the loading speeds and functions later. The Storage is 4tb and you get 3.63 tb of usable space .The first time i started it it really slowd down my SYSTEM for some reason and i reformatted THE HDD which solved the problem . The read and write speed seems to be decent .There is a single port on the device.The body looks cool and light weight .BUT. The body is made of plastic and the inside seems hollowsome what really fragile.if you DROP IT IT WILL DEAL DAMAGE TO THE DRIVE .I did not expect to pay for a hdd for it to come in such body .atleast use a thick plastic guyz i feel that my finger can go through the case.But i really need the Hdd right now so not much of an option to return it. To be honest its an okay device considering the price range of the hdd for 8400 since other seems to be above 10 kbut better body protection but not sure if i should have went for those now.

This thing looks incredible. It feels sturdy and portable. It's incredibly light but it doesn't feel cheap in the slightest. The capacity (mine was 2TB) is adequate for most people. Only 1.7TB was available to use, but that didn't bother me as that was so much space anyway. One problem people may find is that they can make it either a Game Drive for the Xbox One/Series, or they can make it a media drive for your own files. There is no overlap, and you can't partition it in any way. I made it into a media drive, but I would've preferred if I could've split it between Xbox games and other media. But that's a limitation that all Hard Drives have, so it wasn't much of a problem for me. The sticker pack is also very high quality, and has really good designs. Overall, I am incredibly satisfied with this product and will be using it for years to come. It's worth it for the design alone, it's just so pleasing to look at

Really like the aesthetics. Great as an external game drive for Xbox or even Steam on PC. But the performance isn't that great. My other drives from the Seagate Backup Plus/Ultra lineup seem to have faster and more consistent performance. Unless you are a Halo fan (guilty as charged ;P), I would recommend getting a Seagate Backup Plus Portable or something. It is probably a better performer, neither support encryption and are the same price on Amazon.

Its worth to buy .it's a hand one and transfer speed is good.

It was a used product... The seal was opened and the product showed signs of wear. Didn't expect this from Appario Retail Private Ltd.

Little Bit expensive and USB 3.0 not USB3.1.Tekken 7 performance is improved when moved to this drive. Load times of 4k games improved.Use this for the games you are currently playing

Seagate solo ofrece 3 años de garantía para este producto y es mas conveniente de utilizar como almacenamiento principal ya que la vida útil de un SSD puede variar por los Terabytes que escriba y es más sencillo remplazar esta memoria que el SSD interno de la consola.Actualización 23/02/21Me parece que el nuevo precio esta bastante descabellado ya que aumento casi en 30% de lo que originalmente costaba en Noviembre del 2020 y es difícil justificarlo ya que cuesta casi lo mismo que un Series S.Actualización 15/03/21El precio de la memoria de expansion volvió a bajar al precio que se encontraba en Noviembre 2020 y es el precio mas bajo. Si les interesa adquirir una es buen momento.

Every time one turned up it didn’t work, i had I think three shipped out all were subsequently returned.After the second one came in and wasn’t working I thought it was something I was doing wrong, so took it to my local computer shop to maybe get a power booster if needed. Guy plugs it in to test and says “no hard drive should ever make that noice” and tells me the device won’t open and it’s basically broken.When third one came just basically repeated last step.Don’t know if they were faulty to begin with or if they were dropped hard on transit but they were only packed in an amazon book box with not much padding so chance are high.

A massive improvement for those who bought the standard Xbox One/ Xbox One S. 2 TB is all that you will need in addition to your Xbox storage to be able to store all of your games without a fuss. Attach the cable to the back of one of the Xbox ports and plug it in and let it sit on your Xbox One (not over the fan!).When you plug it in, format it as an Xbox One storage device when it asks, give it a name and if you want you can set it as your primary device for installs. You can also move games from your library over to it.I took a lot of joy moving all of those bulky, data heavy games like Battlefield 1 and Halo: MCC onto the Seagate device. I noticed that without those games clogging up my storage they ran a lot smoother whilst keeping my smaller games on my main Xbox storage.Bottom line is, it's better to shell out for one of these instead of buying a new console or letting your console slowly burn itself out. I know I will be keeping my Xbox One S for a lot longer with this, and even then it can be used for the Xbox One X and possibly the next generation.

This external ssd is great. I love how it easily it slots into the back of the Series X, and it's super fast. Transferring games from the internal drive to the external drive is very fast. It sure helps to have this extra Terabyte to store more game pass games.There's quite a few reviews on Amazon that have erroneously claimed that this price is a rip-off. If you look at gen 4 nvme external ssds, you will find this custom ssd in a similar price range. Alternatives were only 5-10% cheaper, but they are not designed for constant, reliably high performance per the spec of the xbox velocity architecture. It is very important that this drive matches the specs of the internal drive so series x games operate properly and don't have loading asset problems. That is why Microsoft won't allow other ssds or external drives to play series S or X games.If you want a drive for xbox 360 or xbox one games, feel free to buy a cheaper drive with more space, but this seagate ssd is the only one on the market that plays series s or x games at the proper performance levels.

Suelo jugar poco a la consola (en mi caso xbox one S) porque tengo pocos ratos libres, lo compré en Octubre de 2017 y a día de hoy Mayo del 2018 el disco duro ha palmado, solo y sin hacerle nada de repente la consola ha dejado de detectarlo, me ha sacado de un juego en medio de la partida y no lo reconoce ni el Windows. Lo he desmontado porque espero que sea fallo de la conexión de la carcasa pero para mi sorpresa, he visto al desmontarlo y conectarlo que el circuito de la conexión se ha quemado. Resumiendo cuentas mucha marca pero los componentes no son ni de los chinos. En fin una decepción, me compré el de 4tb y me costó una pasta cuando lo compré para ahora tener que andar buscando carcasas externas y a probar suerte. He entrado en la web de la marca seagate y solamente leyendo los requisitos para la garantía de un producto dan ganas de echarse a reír, te hacen pagar hasta los portes, en fin, mala marca, mal servicio y componentes malísimos. Tengo varios discos duros de otras marcas como western, toshiba o samsung y 0 problemas. No lo recomiendo ni de oferta.Salu2.Alex.
