My discus, young angelfish, and even fish that are already adult love this food. Not to say flake will ever replace fresh foods like beef heart or actual brine shrimp but this actually is worlds better than just giving the mixed generic "tropical flakes" alone especially if you actually keep fish that are more carnivorous than omnivorous. The protein level is great. When I cant feed fresh these flakes and freeze dried California blackworms along with hikari blood worms for smaller fish are my go-tos. Keeps my fish big and fat and healthy. Watching finicky fish go nuts for this is worth every penny and actually you get a TON of food the can is BIG so you will be tempted to feed your fish often. Just make sure to siphon any uneaten food out after a few mins or only feed what they will eat , or you'll be looking at a mess at least as far as your water quality is concerned.

I wanted to upgrade my fishes current food since they were store brand and I wanted to better my fishes food. I already knew that Ocean Nutrition makes some wonderful fish food with great ingredients. First time I put this food in the tank they swarm right to the surface and started eating. They were becoming more interested in feeding time, and no food was wasted the first time feeding this. This is a very big jar of fish food so I probably won't be buying any more anytime soon, this food should last me 4 months or even longer. This is a huge thing of fish food, I love the value of it, and the quality. I've been feeding my fish this since I set up my tank and the food has lasted a long time. Also, my fish tend to live a really long time and I feel like the quality of their food has something to do with it. All of my fish like this food too, so there isn't a lot of waste making the water dirty quicker.

All my top feeders live these. However they seem to just float and float even when near the filter. My bala shark and silver dollars needs slow sinking food and it’s over an hour and they haven’t sank yet so it won’t work for them. Swordtails and guppies love them.

Arrived on time and in excellent condition. Ocean nutrition formula 1 is eaten very readily by both freshwater and marine fish. High protein food. I have purchased this before, and will be buying more in the future.
