Best dog steps ever!
The pet loader light 16" is great! I purchased a five step loader but discovered I really could've done with the four step version. I sent an email to the company received a response within the hour. And then I was told it's easier to take out one of the steps then to spend the money returning it and getting another one in shipping costs. So I took out the step in under 10 minutes, it would've taken less but it was freezing in my garage and my hands hurt. My dogs absolutely have been enjoying the steps I have a big Old English Sheepdog and a really big Briard. My sheepdog can no longer jumped down from the truck and she took to the steps like a sheepdog Ina herd of sheep! The steps are a bit heavy and 20-ish or so pounds but I just grab the handle on the back of the steps lower them to the floor with them up and push them against the car it really is a snap to do. This is better than any of the ramps that I have purchased or built and it's really sturdy. I no longer worry about the dogs hurting themselves jumping in and out of my truck! This is an excellent company that backs up it's products.

This is a fine quality, easy to use product
This is a fine quality, easy to use product. My old Dalmatian of 65 pounds couldn't get in and out of my SUV anymore and go for rides, her favorite thing to do. I tried cheaper stairs and they didn't work because they were too steep and the treads too narrow. I tried to get her to use them, but she always tried to jump part of the way and ended up almost hurting herself. She took to these stairs right away because they don't shake like the others, the angle is shallow enough that it doesn't frighten her, and the treads are large enough to make her feel confident. Yes, the 4-step loader is a little heavy, but I'm almost 70 years old and don't have a problem with it. Any lighter and I don't think it would work as well. Another thing about this product is it's made in America. It's quality and that's nice to see.

Pleasantly Surprised
I was hesitant to spend the money and did research on ramps vs. steps. Our boy tore his ACL in one leg and had to have a pricey surgery. I don't want him to need a second surgery on the other leg so I decided to go with Petloader. You get what you pay for - and this option is great. Buck took to it right away - he didn't like being lifted in and out of the truck - at 80 pounds we didn't like lifting him LOL! Easy to unfold, fold, it's compact for how stable it is and the handle is convenient. I like that it is carpeted too. We brought it in the house first and let Buck get used to it. I didn't open it but had him put his front paws on it and eventually sit on top of the folded unit a few times. Then we unfolded it, set it up on the truck and Buck walked right up the steps. It's very sturdy and I think feeling solid and sure footed helped with the easy transition. I'm really pleased with the product and so is Buck.

Durable and easy
I saw this first on a Facebook ad and thought it was so cool but expensive so it wasn't a necessity. As our dogs get older though, we start to worry about them jumping out of the SUV, especially since one has already had leg surgery for a dog ACL. Anyway, we finally decided to pull the trigger. I called their customer service number and ended up talking with the owner because they seem to be a small mom and pop shop. I was calling to ask about sizing for our SUV and he explained that even if I wasn't happy with the size I did get I could easily add on another step with basic tools and low cost. In the end the size he suggested worked just fine and no need to add a step. It took the dogs a few different trips to get 100% comfortable with the steps but now they just walk right up and no longer try and go around them to jump in or out. Quality seems without compromise. This thing is super easy to handle. I grab the whole thing and sling it out to extend it but you can also easily set it on the ground and pull it up to the bumper so it works for all ages. I am a detail person and I've always got an observation (my wife calls it a complaint) about something but with these steps it was just a great invention with a good build execution. Happy to reccomend to any other big dog owners.

Well made but...
I am disappointed to have to return this after being so excited to find it.First the pros: It's very sturdy! Great carpeted surface to help prevent slips. The width is nice for larger dogs. The cons: The description here is not accurate. The 5-step is listed as 22 lbs. I just shipped mine back and UPS weighed it at 34 lbs. (Including the box it came in.) It was much too heavy for me to manage in and out of my SUV. A 5-step is truly too big for my Jeep which sits even a little higher than many SUVs.The height of the 4 step is probably ideal, but I'm afraid to order it given the possible discrepancy in weights. Also a note of possible interest, when folded and laying flat (so that it won't move around), it takes up close to half of the width of my cargo bed not leaving enough room for my 2 dogs. I would need to sit it on its side and somehow tether it in order to travel with it.If lifting it isn't a concern... it's an excellent product.
