Children loved it
Easy to assemble. Children loved building them. Parent had to put pins in, but child assembled the rest.

Very well made
My 4 year old daughter and 21 month old son LOVE these. We made them together, and since I always carry a knife (well, many) on me, my kids always see me with one, and want to use it. I am not ready to have them play with knives, but want them to actually learn how to use them and respect them properly. This knife kit fit the bill. They can't hurt themselves or others, and they feel like they are like dad.

Really great idea.
Really great idea...but the holes in which the pins have to be inserted were too small. Me having to use excessive force (and language;) to assemble kinda defeats the purpose of child assembly. My two nephews looked at me with childish bewilderment as I pounded in the pins with the butt end of an actual pocket knife:(

Great stocking stuffer
I got these for my two boys for Christmas, and they love them. I don't think either one of them goes anywhere without having it in their pocket, just like dad. It was also fun sanding and putting them together. I got some mineral oil, so that I could teach them how to keep their knives oiled. I would highly recommend this. It's completely safe and nontoxic, and it puts a nice finish on the wood.

If you have a small child who loves pocket knives, I would definitely recommend JJ’s Knife Kit.
I got this for my 3 year older son for Christmas. He love pretending he is cutting something and packing a knife like his Paw Paw. It is the absolute cutest thing. I gave it 4 stars on assembly bc it was a little tough getting the last piece in and I would recommend wood glue just to secure it a little better. But it is very well crafted. I gave it to him early and he was so excited and was ready to “cut up something” as he says. lol I’m glad I got this for him so can learn how to handle a knife properly..learn the does and don’ts. If you have a small child who loves pocket knives, I would definitely recommend JJ’s Knife Kit.

Would be good if assembled. That last pin is nearly impossible to get, I’ll have to send back.
Assembly is not easy. Should just send it put together!!
