They have a straw you insert into each letter to blow it up and then press after to seal it, they stayed full for a few days after as we set it up the night before and took it down the day after the shower! I didn't blow up the other balloons that came with this as they were REALLY hard to blow up vs. the other pink/white balloons I bought at Walmart was super easy, maybe if I had a pump it wouldn't been a problem! The sash was really cute! The "OH" balloon popped, not due to quality, but overinflation (oops!). I added the silver streamers to fit the fall (approximately 10ft wide). Not everything that comes packaged is shown simply because you receive SO MUCH and I did not want to clutter the area. The lanterns, paper balls, and streamers may be repurposed--in this case they were put in little baby H's room and complimented her walls beautifully! I absolutely loved using this product and highly recommend.
