I have been a devout Yerba Mate drinker for over 20 years. At first it was Guayaki, the only brand available in this part of the country. But those little bags quickly lost their appeal and I found Nativa at a little store in Truckee California. It was reasonably priced and I liked the taste. The 35 mile drive was a bit inconvenient but we worked it in for visits with the daughter. Then I read an article about Mate causing various sicknesses in a government publication. So I quit for almost a year and tried to drink coffee again. Not the same, couldn't get back into the nasty ass taste. So I thought about that publication and began to wonder if maybe just maybe their test had been run on "smoked" mate. Since smoke is the cause of many ailments, what if mate was smoked with things down there that would add to any harmful elements. So I looked for non-smoked mate. First I called Nativa and someone told me that all mate was smoked. I knew that to be wrong since I just happened to have some bags of Eco Teas Mate, that were NOT SMOKED. But their product in the small bags ran about $15 with tax. Whew killer since I could got thru a bag in about two weeks if I really hit it. Then I found this five pound bag and the price was a shocker. This is a fine tasting mate, no bitter after taste, none of that smoke taste or smoke after taste. I guess it would be difficult to share a traditional mate gourd with others since they would be drinking my mate up too fast. One can find this in most stores and sample a small purchase, but if you are a serious drinker this company and product is a winner.

I read about the benefits of drinking Yerba Mate, so I started researching which brand I wanted to buy. I certainly wanted organic Yerba Mate and unsmoked Yerba Mate. I read that the smoked variety may actually cause some health problems. I found this Ecoteas Yerba Mate and it is inexpensive and unsmoked. I did a little research on the company and it seems to be pretty good. I purchased the product and it has a nice taste. I drink it sweetened with some coconut sugar and it tastes very nice. Sometimes I just drink it plain and it is still nice. I also like that I can steep this while cold and it still infuses nicely into the cold water.The only issue that I would have with Yerba Mate in general is the caffeine content. The caffeine in this product is natural. However, I have felt jittery several times after drinking it. That is certainly something for me to keep an eye on. There is quite a bit of caffeine in Yerba Mate which may be concerning for some people.This is a good and inexpensive unsmoked Yerba Mate. I highly recommend it but be careful with the caffeine content.

Less expensive by weight, slightly different caffeine content, slightly different flavor and nutrient profile, because it is whole-plant rather than just leaf. I think "whole plant" is considerably more delicious than "pure leaf" but they're both great. Different styles (cuts) are popular in different countries and regions. One style might make more sense than the other depending on your brewing method. If you are having trouble with your bombilla (traditional filtered straw) getting clogged, try this one ("pure leaf") - or else learn the traditional method of gourd preparation, but that is more complicated and takes time to get the hang of.I recommend purchasing a smaller quantity if you are unfamiliar with yerba mate.

Totally delicious, like a cup from Earth's bar. I love that the caffeine level is strong, but I have absolutely no crash like coffee gives you. Obviously, do not overdo your caffeine intake as even Mate can make you jittery if you downed a liter of it. I'm able to drink this instead of coffee, no problem. It contains twice as many antioxidants as green tea and has loads of B vitamins in it. I've been drinking Mate for many years, and this brand is prime product at an excellent price. South American natives have drank it ceremoniously for hundreds, if not thousands of years. It tastes crazy good with goji berries and honey. ***DO NOT POUR BOILED WATER OVER IT*** Rather, cold press it for an hour or use warm water for a 15 minute brew. I put it in the French press overnight for an extra strong brew. You will need a fine strainer or a handheld coffee strainer, but don't just pop it in the coffee maker - french press works perfectly. I have been drinking Yerba Mate for quite some time and tried many different varieties of tea. Some are great, some are worse than dried up grass clippings...this brand is surprisingly real nice! It’s not the best I’ve ever had but I think it is one of the better brands for the price/value. I recommend that you cold brew Yerba mate tea if you want a smoother less bitter taste. I’ve been doing that lately and the difference is huge...of course you would be drinking it cold so if that’s not your thing then ignore the past couple of sentences. We also sweeten our tea with local honey, which really works nicely with this type of tea. Good luck!

Kann man nur empfehlen. Sehr gute Musik. Bis auf 1-2 Liedern eine gute CD. Würde ich immer wieder Kaufen. Danke
