Nov 2021: I’ve been taking this about 4-5 days a week. It has made a dramatic difference in my hand eczema, I had been struggling with this issue for over 2 years. I was using a cream steroid which worked but if I didn’t use it multiple times a day, my hands would still blister and crack open. Now with this product I do still have occasional outbreaks, but in general my skin is very healthy. My only complaint is that 1/5 tsp is an odd measurement, and I wish I could find this product in pill form. UPDATE May 2022: I’ve been using this product for about a year and take it 1-3 times a week and it’s continued to stop my eczema for reoccurring. Now if I don’t take it for a week or two, I start to get dry hands, which goes away the next day if I take a serving. This product has improved my skins overall health and I’ve not had an eczema breakout since I started taking it. Now I only take 1/8th tsp, so it lasts me a really long time.

I tested low for histidine; learned that's often the case with fibromyalgia--and now with supected MCAD, which seems to have been brought forward by long-term anti-viral treatment (never had allergic or any reactions to anything before and now am plagued). Wanted to give this a try--without fillers/additives that might make things worse--since a few studies suggest is effective for both and lots of online support group members have seen improvement. Just begun, cautiously, to supplement, fingers crossed. Have ordered several other prodects from the company in the past which were helpful and have been happy with them--and with shipping which is very speedy. Some products, you can avoid filling yr own capsules. This might not be one, depending on how iron-clad yr stomach is--it's HCL, after all. Because I feel so crappy most of the time, I don't review--but a prompt of a free sample from these folks moved me.

My order arrived perfectly on time. I was looking for something to help my legs and joints recover from doing Tae Kwon Do. I also want to take care of my knees which were aching at the time of delivery. I opened the package and weighed out 500 mg. and mixed it with plain water. The taste was slightly sour,but I wasn't looking for a tasty drink,instead I was thinking about the pain I was in. Shortly after my dose I took my dog for a walk,painful but beneficial to get fresh blood to the affected areas. Shortly after the walk I noticed that most of the pain was gone! Aside from pain relief, this supplement has a lot of other great health benefits and it's pure. Looks like I'll be around for a while longer and enjoying Tae Kwon Do.

I have tried both HCL and Base form of Histidine, and in my opinion you get the best result when you take a little bit of both. For Histidine Base, I prefer Ajipure, but for HCL, Bulk Supplements is perfect. All that being said, if I were to chose only one, I would likely go with HCL. The HCL form seems to work more consistently and it feels more fast acting. I believe you need much more HCL in order to reach the same potential effect that the Base form seems to provide, but to me, the Base form's time it takes to go to work is inconsistent. Also, Base powder really messes with my GI tract, from beginning to 'end', if you know what i mean.

Helps with wakefulness during the day, similar to my stay awake meds. Antihistamines knock me out so I figured I'm lacking histamine in the brain. The way this helps me so much I think I have my IH or N2 (without cataplexy) figured out now! I take 1 tsp 1st thing in the am with water not food. Take more in the afternoon if needed. I have allergies and this does not affect them bc histamine is not an allergen. But if it ever does I will just take an antihistamine before bed.

I tried this powder for 5 days for Eczema/allergies. I really wanted it to work. Unfortunately my eczema got much worse and I began breaking out in hives.Then, I started getting massive migraines. I did feel a decrease in sinus pressure and better blood flow to "lady parts."😉. I thought maybe I had low histamine because of fibromyalgia. But, I'm back to the low histamine diet and search. I didn't have luck with DAO, Quercitin or Bromelain, so pretty confused at this point. Product arrived quickly, but I wish it included a tiny spoon for odd measurements, like 1/16th teaspoon. Maybe this will work for someone with diagnosed low histamine.

It’s great I just wished it would come every month

It took a few days for me to receive this. I read up on dermatology journals and this is recommended for people with skin barrier issues related to filaggrin deficiency. This product dissolves easily abs doesn’t have much of a taste. It’s more like very slightly salty. I haven’t had any problems. I am hoping it helps my extreme eczema issues. I think it is, but I need more time to make that determination.
