Refreshingly high quality. (For any price point) - Surprised! I don’t know if this is real rice paper but it’s what I was looking for.. Great packaging and, though folded it is rounded so NO CREASE! Brilliant! Dimensions are as advertised. Review: Cheap paper for beginner - I am new to Chinese Brush Painting. I previously bought the raw paper and had trouble controlling my paints and ink because they would "smear" and bleed a lot. This was not what I wanted for most of my paintings even though the raw paper worked perfect for my painted chicks. Overall, this semi-sized paper is much better. I can control my inks better. I divided the paper into thirds to get more use out of them. I prefer smaller paintings. You get lots of paper for the price. I would recommend this paper to a beginner. But to someone more advance, I'd recommend purchasing from either Blue Heron Arts or Oriental Art Supply. Sure its pricier on the other websites, but there is more variety of paper to choose from. ## Features - Paper Size: 34 x 68 cm (13.4 x 26.7 inch).Quantity: 100 Sheets/bag - Made of renewable bamboo pulp, texture natural and clear. - The half raw ripe xuan paper ink imbibition ability is weaker than sheng xuan paper, not easy infiltration. Perfect for regular script calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting. - The rice paper surface is smooth and neatly cut. Paper soft with good toughness. No odor, soft color. - Suitable for beginners, calligraphy lovers practice Chinese Japanese calligraphy, writing and drawing. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07Q4PQ1PX | | Best Sellers Rank | #47,119 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ( See Top 100 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ) #45 in Loose Drawing Paper | | Brand | MEGREZ | | Brand Name | MEGREZ | | Color | Half Raw Ripe Xuan | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 381 Reviews | | Item Dimensions L x W | 27.8"L x 13.4"W | | Item Highlight | without grids, bamboo pulp, great ink absorption, ink wash painting, half raw ripe xuan, 13.4 x 26.7 inch, 100 sheets | | Item Weight | 16 ounces | | Manufacturer | MEGREZ | | Manufacturer Part Number | NOGD-TK-HShengShuXP | | Material | Paper | | Material Type | Paper | | Model Number | MEG-009 | | Number of Items | 100 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Paper Dimensions | 13.4 x 26.7 inches | | Paper Finish | Smooth | | Paper Weight | 26 | | Product Dimensions | 27.8"L x 13.4"W | | Recommended Uses For Product | Calligraphy | | Sheet Count | 100 | | Style | Traditional | | UPC | 692828756049 | | Unit Count | 100 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** MEGREZ - **Color:** Half Raw Ripe Xuan - **Material:** Paper - **Paper Dimensions:** 13.4 x 26.7 inches - **Paper Finish:** Smooth ## Images ![MEGREZ Chinese Japanese Calligraphy Xuan Paper Rice Paper - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51NCF0f-wrL.jpg) ![MEGREZ Chinese Japanese Calligraphy Xuan Paper Rice Paper - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61r4lF7iUwL.jpg) ![MEGREZ Chinese Japanese Calligraphy Xuan Paper Rice Paper - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61WEObh2TuL.jpg) ![MEGREZ Chinese Japanese Calligraphy Xuan Paper Rice Paper - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61fiSPWk0nL.jpg) ![MEGREZ Chinese Japanese Calligraphy Xuan Paper Rice Paper - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71IHfSZQ2rL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rare find! Otherwise, the texture and quality are very good. ## Frequently Bought Together - MEGREZ Chinese Japanese Calligraphy Xuan Paper, Rice Paper Sumi Calligraphy Paper for Calligraphy Brush Ink Writing, Painting Without Grids 100 Sheets/Bag,13.4 x 26.7 inch, Half Raw Ripe Xuan - MZ001 HmayartBlack Sumi Liquid Ink for Japanese Brush Calligraphy & Chinese Traditional Artworks 250ml (Black) - 12 Pieces Chinese Calligraphy Brushes Painting Writing Brushes Watercolor Brushes Set Kanji Japanese Sumi Painting Drawing Brushes Kanji Art Brushes with Roll-up Brush Holder --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/141905344-megrez-chinese-japanese-calligraphy-xuan-paper-rice-paper](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/141905344-megrez-chinese-japanese-calligraphy-xuan-paper-rice-paper) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
