Even after washing, this crate cover has a slight different odor on the inside which seems to be annoying my dobie. Has anyone else experienced this?

I just purchased one, and placed it over the crate. It did not smell at first, but when walking back into the room, less than a hour later, and there is a very heavy musty/moldy scent. Enough smell, to make me nauseous.

Is this cover waterproof?

This dog kennel cover is made of 600D Oxford fabric which is wind-proof, water-proof

Is there supposed to be a velcro fastener on each lower corner of the cover? The one I ordered only has 3.

No, only 3. The end front corner does not have one so you can open the kennel door on the end if you have a side door and end door.

How durable is the material? My dog has shredded everything I've used for a cover so far?

Yes durable ...very thick material...my dog is also a shredder and he has pulled at some of the straps but it has held up very well
