Ripped before I even used it in 2 places
Ripped on the seem before I even used it. I'm sitting on the bus on the way to some white water rafting and I have a ripped bag. Material is very thin. Luckily I think it will still work since the rip is at the very top but I guess I will find out.Update: like I said above I decided to use it anyway and it did manage to keep my stuff dry in our raft full of water even with the ripped seem. However on the 3/4 mile walk down to the river the bottom strap tore off and I had to hand carry the bag the rest of the way. Luckily where it attached to the bag there was an inner layer so the bag was still waterproof. I don't understand how there are so many 5 star reviews. I cannot recommend it to be used for anything serious. Maybe the beach or the pool but not anything that will actually put the bag under stress. I did upgrade my review to 2 stars since the company was quick to respond and refund me and send me a new set of bags. If the new set works better I will change my review.

Great construction, design and value for a waterproof bag and case.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Fit & Finish 10The overall finished quality of the dry bag was exemplary. Yes, there is some rubbery smell when initially unpacking it from the Amazon packaging, but it quickly dissipated compared to a lot of made in China plastic/rubber items I have received before. The seams are very high quality and the bag construction just feels like it could take a lot of outdoor activity. You really have to hold this in your hands to know what I’m talking about. Even though it is a thick material, it is also very supple, allowing you to fold down into waterproof mode and snap the buckle very easily.Design 9.5The design gives me an impression that it is very well thought out. A nice touch is that the instructions for folding the bag and buckling is imprinted directly on the bag itself. Seriously, my 3 year old child could probably figure out how this works. You have no idea how frustrating some products are where the instructions are paper printed, you end up losing them and have to furiously use google to hunt down an electronic copy. I also find the clear see through window great as well for absent minded people like myself. Without it, I’d be unbuckling and unfolding the bag a hundred times before leaving for my trips. Now, I’m kind of grasping at straws to find a negative, but I’ll say that one thing I would like is if the dry bag had the same fastener at the opening like the cell phone case that came with it. For me it would give me even more piece of mind. However, I do understand that would slow down opening/closing the dry bag, so maybe a second version for paranoid people like me? Just a suggestion I guess.Value 10I don’t think there’s an argument that you get great value with the package you get. To be honest, the price I paid was a bit under what I was willing to pay for something like this. I actually didn’t notice they threw in a free waterproof cell phone case until I opened the Amazon package. That was the cherry on top in the value column.VerdictEvery now and then, I like discovering items on Amazon where I say, “Hmm I wonder why no one really made something like this before?” I have to put this bag in with those, because although in the past I have often resorted to using the gallon zip lock bags for keep my items dry during trips, it does become a real pain unzipping/rezipping. Also, zip locks don't hold up so well to twigs/branches/rocks, at least for me when I'm out and about. Also, the fact I did notice they do offer a 20L, which might help a parent like myself who needs to lug around even more with the little one in tow. Kudos to the manufacturer for making a product that checks a lot of boxes for me, at a price the average Joe can afford without digging too deep.

Great bag
This bag is every bit as good as the more expensive brands I’ve purchased. Same exact material. For those who stated it felt like plastic, well it is a pvc material so you obviously didn’t do your research to know what you were buying. Some buyers need to take some responsibility as to what they’re buying. The material is very similar to the pvc material used in durable inflatable kayaks. And yes, if you don’t follow the directions and roll the top down according to the instructions, you will get water in the bag. It’s not made to be submerged under water for long periods of time, but rather to prevent splashing water from getting in. As far as the hardware breaking or seams coming undone, use COMMON SENSE as far as to how much weight you’re putting in it. None of these bags regardless of brand were not designed to carry items as heavy as a bowling ball. That being said, I love these bags and for the money you can’t go wrong if it’s used accordingly.

they work fine! It’s amazing how cheap this set is to ...
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I was skeptical of the price and the quality of this set at first. Waterproof phone case and a dry bag for less than $20?! I decided to test it out. I don’t want to take a risk by putting my expensive devices into them if they don’t work. So I decided to do a test and to my surprise, they work fine! It’s amazing how cheap this set is to be honest. It is definitely a steal. I’m going to take this bag to my next camping trip for sure. No problem for now!

Product failures on two of the four pieces
I purchased these during a flash sale last winter in anticipation of using them during my next beach vacation. I finally had the opportunity to use them and was a bit disappointed. The 20l bag strap ripped during its first trip. It was a hike up to a waterfall and failed midway through. I set the bag down while taking a break. When I picked it up by the strap the connection point ripped off.Despite the strap failure, on a positive note everything in the bag remained bone dry. I used it about a dozen more times. Each time the gear remained clean and dry. The bag was especially useful to keep wet swimsuits and toiletries separated from my other luggage.I used the camera bag to protect my car fab while snorkeling. It worked like a charm at the beginning, but after about six trips I noticed some water droplets in the bag. I thought it was due to user error. The next time I used it I made sure the seal points were clean and it was closed properly. Unfortunately, I again noticed water droplets in the bag. I then tested the bag in a sink and confirmed it just was no longer keeping a watertight seal. I ended up tossing it and using the second one. I don't think I would ever trust putting my phone in the case.
