Barbie Black and White Forever Doll

I love this doll. She is beautiful. Lots of fabric in the dress and the bow on the back. The fabric is quite stiff though. her hair and face are done perfectly, one of the gloves arrived with a loose seam and one of the earrings was bent. But this was fixable with a bit of care.

Released for Barbie's 60th Anniversary, this collector's doll is styled in monochrome floor-length satin, and bears a more classic facial shape based on the original doll. The attention to detail is simply wonderful. Her shoes, stockings, earrings, her little gloves and the bows - every small part is equally well-crafted. Her hair is styled to reflect the dress - platinum with black - and the dress is carefully layered with a petticoat to ensure it retains its shape. The joints are well-constructed and she can be posed as you wish, supported with an included stand. As a gift, it should be noticed the box is layered with tissue and ribbon, so already looks glamourous and ready for gifting.

A beautiful collectible doll, she’s immaculately presented and packaged, and on her wrist is the tag that used to be a part of all these dolls. She has lovely hair and make up, and her dress is beautiful. In the box you’ll also find a stand so you can support her and her huge skirts. The attention to detail is lovely, and she will be treasured.

How was I selected to receive and review this amazing collectors 60 Year Anniversary Barbie Doll, I don’t know, but I am forever grateful. It is so amazing, she’s so beautiful and elegant in her black and white ball gown. This doll is inspired by the iconic black and white swimsuit, that started it all. She looks glamorous, from her hair, all the way from her hair right down to her heels. She comes with her own stand to put her on, plus a certificate of authenticity. There’s a stamp on the back of he box stating that there’s “No more than 20,000 worldwide” as this really is limited and a collectors editions.

This is a superb quality doll. The make-up and hair are really marvellous, and the doll really does look beautiful. The dress and accessories are also excellent quality, and I would say the photos on the Amazon product page really do not do it justice. The doll comes in a high quality presentation box, making the whole product extremely impressive. This excellent quality Barbie in her equally impressive presentation box is one to keep as a whole - a very highly recommended gift!

This doll from the Barbie Fashion Model Collection is astonishingly beautiful. The attention to detail is incredible. If you're giving this to children to play with, make sure they treat it with respect! Yes it's expensive, but the high quality is worth it.

This isn’t a Barbie that will ever make it into any toybox, ideally, it’s one for collectors Visually, this has far less impact than the other collectors’ Barbie that I own, which is a Ziggy Stardust David Bowie tribute Barbie. It’s packaged in a white cardboard box that resembles a shoebox. Inside, Barbie is wrapped in tissue paper, and sits with elbow-length evening gloves and a simple, stark voluminous black and white ball gown. She has a porcelain white complexion, and a seriously haughty expression. Her look says “Don’t touch”, which is at least appropriate for something that isn’t designed to be played with. Her eye make up is dramatic and full on, more Sixties than Fifties. I fell in love with the sassiness, accuracy and style of the Bowie Barbie instantly, but this one just leaves me cold. It’s just a plastic doll and a pretty dress. It isn’t really attributed to anything, in my opinion, perhaps some of the style of the 1950s, but .. I actually don’t like it that much. It may be a collectors’ item available in a limited edition, but to me, such items should have some appeal. Leaves me a bit cold.

I ordered this Barbie in order to turn her into a vampyre to go with my Dracula. I have never bought a Barbie doll before. First of all, the packaging is OUTSTANDING! The careful and detailed packaging ensured that the doll would not be damaged in any way during shipping. The doll itself is quite spectacular! I can see why both little girls and women go nuts over these dolls. IF my youngest niece (who is pregnant) has a little girl you can bet we will be buying her the top-of-the-line Barbies! Could not be happier with my purchase. The price is reasonable for such a high quality item.

Magnifique poupée barbie signature blanche et noire, mèches noires de chaque côtés de la tête mais discrètes. Robe sublime. Prix très élevé, j'ai payé en plusieurs fois. Je suis collectionneuse. Mais trop cher. Tout est dans les détails. Poupée barbie qui fait son effet et vraiment esprit couture. Ne convient pas aux enfants au vu du prix. Je l'ai mise en vitrine. Pour toutes collectionneuses je la recommande plus que vivement. Magnifique.
