Great. Just wish it were two inches shorter.
For what it was intended, It's great. For what I wanted it for, it's two inches too tall. I may yet order another one and just leave the wheels off. Speaking of wheels, they work good and smooth. Already, I have found another use for it which makes it well worth the cost. The assembly was simple. However, I would have made two changes in the instructions. The wheels should be the last step as they got in my way of my wrench. Perhaps, the lock washers could have been enhanced. Me, yep I noticed them after I assembled it, all four of them. My fault. Still I do like to complain. All parts were there, including the ones I neglected to use at first. I see no reason it won't last a hundred years unless for some stupid reason I jump up and down on it, then maybe twenty-five. It does also beg for many uses far beyond its design. One other thing. It is nice and stable. It is not likely to tip.Incidentally, the cats found a use for it, though they do have a nice cat tree, which they also use too. I guess it sort of depends.

Very useful piece of furniture
My husband ordered this for my elderly mother when she had surgery. It was perfect for that. She had a hospital bed at home and it rolled easily under the bed, and the height was perfect. It easily adjusts to the bed height. It was easy to use, and when I had to clean her dressings, it came in handy. I could easily wipe it down with a Clorox wipe and roll it to wherever I needed it and take care of my mom.Now that she's doing better, we use it by her arm chair. It does not go low enough to use as a TV tray in her chair, which was a bit disappointing. However, my daughter gave her a lap tray with legs instead. But this stays by her side. She puts her coloring books, embroidery, water, medicine ... you name it, she puts it right next to her. She wheels it around to where she needs it and it gives her some independence. My husband said it was easy to assemble, it took about 5 minutes. It's washable. It looks like a piece of office furniture and wouldn't be a bad thing to have in an office or craft room. Out of all the medical equipment we bought for my mother's recovery, this is the one she used the most, and this is the only thing she continues to use - thankfully. She loves it. And, she was really impressed with my husband at such a thoughtful gesture. He moved up in rank ๐!

Not just for medical use. This table is multifunctional!
I have been a caretaker for both of my parents and used overbed tables regularly with them. Some were downright pains to use so I knew I wanted something simple, sturdy, and easy to operate when I became ill a while ago and needed one. I tried to make do with TV trays but it became obvious that I needed something that I could use while sitting up in bed or even on the couch. A cursory search showed several similar tables and I chose this one because the price was very fair and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. This table is sturdy yet lightweight and not cumbersome. It took my husband all of 10 minutes to set it up, attaching the metal frame to the table top. I could have done it myself and I am awful at that stuff. The overbed table has a dark woodgrain surface that measures 15" wide by 30" long and is .75" thick. The table has rounded corners for safety which the one I recently used in the hospital did NOT and those edges can be a little bit sharp so I suggest always looking for a table with rounded edges. The table has four castors which swivel and roll easily under a bed, chair or even under some sofas depending on whether there is open space at the bottom. Mine has open space so I can slide this table right under my sofa and use it as a laptop table or eating tray. I can also use the table while sitting in a chair or sitting up on the couch with the tabletop in front of me and my legs on the floor as it is an open design. The castors also lock down so that the table doesn't roll although I rarely need to lock them as the table stays put for me when I use it. There are LOT of ways to use this, not just for in bed patient care. I am actually typing this review with my laptop on the overbed table as I sit up on the couch. The tabletop height is 27.5" at its lowest point and will go all the way up to 39.5". With a slight push of a lever on the side, the table will rise and lower with no set increments meaning you can adjust it to the exact height you want it. It locks securely and I have not ever had the table lower or move once I had it in place. When choosing an overbed table, it's important to get one that both the patient and a caretaker can use with ease. I don't need a caretaker at this time (and I hope I won't for a very long time) but, if I did, it would be a breeze for someone to roll the table across the bed and roll it away as well as adjust the height. As the "patient" I find it very simple to adjust and move myself. The sturdy tabletop can hold a lot - up to 25 pounds according to the manufacturer - but I believe it could hold more although I don't have a need for that. I will often use the table to hold my dinner and a drink, my laptop, or a variety of other things that I want close to me. When I don't want the table in front of me, I simply push it away and it rolls easily even on a carpeted surface. When I recover, I will still use this table as a laptop tray. It's much better than a portable laptop tray and has plenty of room for any size laptop as well as a drink, portable speakers, reference materials, or anything I want close by when working on my notebook. My husband is a welder and I can't tell you the number of times he has called anything I bought that was metal, "junk". He looks at the welding beads to see if the item was carefully welded. Guess what? He didn't call this table structure junk! Shocker. He said it looked well made and the beading was not sloppy or even noticeable. Most people would never even think about this but welders tend to be very scrutinizing. What this says to me is that the workmanship is good and care was taken to make the table and I certainly appreciate that. The brushed metal is attractive and the deep color of the wood keeps staining to a bare minimum. I honestly have no complaints. This table does what it is supposed to do and doesn't take up massive amounts of space. It's great for people who are ill or injured and can't get up and sit at a table to eat or otherwise need to have things in front of them or nearby. It's also a great laptop or reading table for anyone's bedroom or living room.In the interest of full disclosure, I received this overbed table free of charge from the company after I chose it on my own. The opinions and descriptions above are entirely mine. I have been reviewing products for 16 years and always call it like I see it regardless of how a product was obtained. For $60.00, I feel this table is a steal. I can't really think of anything more I could want. It's smooth as far as rolling and adjusting the tabletop height, it has plenty of space for whatever one may want to use it for, and it's well made. I like that I'm not locked into certain levels and that I can raise and lower the table to any height I want and it will lock and stay put. I will still get a LOT of use out of this after I recover which I hope will be soon. If you're a caretaker or the patient or even if you're looking for something to use while in bed or in a chair for your laptop or reading, this overbed table does it all. I honestly recommend it to anyone. It has so many uses outside of medical use.

Versatile and sturdy rolling table
We like this table a lot. It was very easy to put together and it rolls smoothly. I deducted a little because the up/down isn't smooth like it shows in the video. It takes a little pulling and pushing, which we are ok with doing. I was also expecting it to go down a little lower. I didn't notice until after I put it together that the 28" measurement in the picture goes to the bottom of the table surface, not the top. It is roughly 30" high at its minimum setting, which makes it a bit high over the bed but that's also ok. We're happy with it and it will be useful for many things. It was bought for my teenager, but I may 'borrow' it at times to put my laptop on and wheel it to wherever I want for zoom meetings. I like that it is sturdy enough even as a standing desk.

A wonderful bedside table
This is an amazingly well built product. I purchased it for my brother who is now permanently bedridden. It functions flawlessly, easy to assemble, and has plenty of support for meals, etc. placed upon it.I would make one recommendation for consideration. His bedroom is carpeted, as most bedrooms are. There was a minor issue caused by resistance of the nap of the carpet impeding the smooth mobility of the table causing minor damage to a wheel. I contacted Vaunnโs customer service and they were absolutely FANTASTIC! They have shipped a replacement. The Vaunn bedside table wheels would move perfectly on tile, or even a carpet with a marginal nap, but thicker nap carpet may be an issue for you. I purchased a 55โx36โ carpet desk chair mat so now the bedside table will move effortlessly as needed. If thick carpet may be where you want to use this table, you may want to spend a few bucks and order one, they are not expensive.Again, I cannot recommend this bedside table enough, it was worth every penny. Even more importantly, the Customer Service at Vaunn Medical is the best! If there were to be a problem, they will make it right!

A great over the bed table. Well designed and built.
My daughter purchased one of these for me a few years ago knowing that I would be spending a considerable amount of time in bed while recovering from an injury. I spend a lot of time on my computer and needed space on the table for a computer or two and other devices and item such as medications, drinks, etc. That table performed well with its spacious top. The table is durable and rolls easily. The top has edge trim that provides a slight edge-stop on the full perimeter to help keep items from rolling off or small spills running over. I decided that I needed more table space dedicated to laptops, hobbies, and other uses so they had their own space. I was intrigued by the tilt-top tables, but most of them would tilt the wrong way when used on the left side of the bed. [Remember that I already have an existing table on the right side.] An additional table, for over-bed use, would require a table long enough with a base that would roll under the bed to provide proper placement for comfortable usage. Some tables have the vertical post offset, in relationship to the tabletop, by several inches which affects how far the tabletop extends over the bed. I found a couple styles of tables with tops that will tip both ways. One style is a split-top where the smaller portion remains flat and the larger portion tilts either way, but the edge-stop is on the wrong side when used on the left side of the bed, and additionally, the off-set limits the over-bed reach. The other style where the full top tilts either way, has the edge-stop on the wrong side when used over-bed on the left side of the bed. [Perhaps, the tables could be modified as to the edge-stop placement or someone handy could create their own. A significant edge-stop should be present to keep, say, a lap-top from sliding off.] All things considered, I chose this table for its known quality and functionality. I did also purchase a tilting base to sit my laptop on for comfortable typing. I'm happy with my choice.

The price difference compared to others is worth the overall quality increase
I had first purchased a Drive Medical table. That was a poor choice due to the facts it did not lock upward and downward table movement, the lifting mechanism its-self was poor, the assembly process was odd and the overall design was not conducive to use.The Vaunn Medical Cart is oddly, vastly better. At first glance they are very similar but this unit took all of 5 minutes to take out of the box, put together and be ready for use. All you need is a No 3 Screwdriver and a 16mm wrench, socket and ratchet or adjustable wrench. Some people will complain that this doesn't include tools but who wants cheap chinesium tools that you just throw away. The screwdriver and wrench are something anyone could source. The lifting mechanism locks both the up and down movement. Instructions were short, sweet and accurate. The unit looks good. It has good height and would only be an issue with a very low chair. The base is offset making it comfortable to slide in near for a seated person vs the Drive Medical having it's base support centered. As such the table top is also off-center on its-support ensuring the unit is stable. It was in great condition out of the box.Would not hesitate to purchase again if needed.

Love it!
Great bedside table! Well made. Sturdy. Wide range of height adjustment for over bed use and generous surface size and material making clean-ups easy. Assembly was very easy - two screw drivers and a pair of pliers. Up and in use in 15 mins. Thank you for that!!
