Minimal chipping
Using this for Woodtone coated James Hardie siding. This blade is great. It minimizes the chipping on the siding.

I am replacing all the wood trim on my 2-story house with HardiBoard. After ruining several saw blades I bought this one for my 7-1/4 circular saw. I have nearly completed the house, and still the blade performs like new. The photo is a piece I trimmed off after the blade already had hundreds of cuts. I was able to still remove a piece thinner than a nickle without breaking using a handheld saw. The blade moves through the HardiBoard effortlessly giving you amazing accuracy compared to a conventional blade. I also use this blade for cutting plywood and 2x4s, and it works just as good as a wood blade. Of all the review I have written for products, this is probably the one review I simply cannot speak highly enough about. If your working with cement board or HardiBoard, buy this blade and you won't regret it and you'll save money.

Sometimes you have to pay a little more when you get the right tool for the job.
I just finished building a four-bay garage and am currently siding it with James Hardie siding material. Just before I got to work I learned I needed a special four-tooth, diamond-tipped blade for my circular saw. I could have used regular blades, I guess, if I had a stack of them and didn't mind swapping them out every few cuts. According to one source, this blade will last five or six projects. Since I have only one project, this one blade is overkill. It cuts beautifully. Straight, true and almost without resistance. Pros: It's the tool for the job. Cons: It's expensive. When I am through with my siding project I'll have to store this blade carefully in case I need it again in the future.

Worth the extra bit of money
I've been residing my house with Hardie board sheets and so far have gone through 3 blades. I learned that the blades all my local hardware stores carry are subpar and although they say they are for concrete board they don't last long. After doing what I should have to start with I read a comparison review of all the different blades out there and this blade beat them all. Now that I have had a chance to use it on a few panels it's a night and day difference. It's like a hot knife through butter compared to the others I have used. 2 things I have heard of and have read about in other reviews are that you need to make sure the blade is on the right way or the teeth will come off or ware out quickly. The other thing is if you are using a circular saw make sure to set your depth a tooth length below the underside. It helps keep the heat on the edge instead of the whole blade.
