SunsOut - James Christensen - Hold To The Rod, The Iron Rod - Jigsaw Puzzle - 500 Pc

Love this puzzle! James C Christensen is an artist that produces high quality paintings and prints. Wish I could afford his prints, but since I can’t, at least I have this favorite “Hold to the Rod” image somehow! Framed the completed puzzle so we can look at it every day on our wall. Puzzle was good quality image and puzzle pieces fit together well and were sturdy.

Apparently I’m brain dead because I thought it was a picture great picture though

The puzzle pieces were not unique. After working 3/4 of the puzzle, I gave up because even at this point the edges were not right.

Pieces are terrible. Approx. one inch rectangles with very tiny nibs and bits of 1/8 inch and basically all the same shape. I had to turn possible matches to the back side to see if they were a true fit. I've done lots of SunsOut puzzles and have never seen such cheap pieces.

I love the paintings of James Christensen, very imaginative and colorful. This puzzle was a delight to put together. It was entertaining and joyful. Plus it is so pretty, that I still have it on my table to show friends when they visit. It is funny to see wealth and all of its baubles depicted as such a burden to carry. Maybe the old fellow will start handing them out, so just around the corner an arm will be free to reach for the rod.

Perfect! Love the puzzle, love the theme and meaning behind the original painting. Wish there were more puzzles of his work. Not too easy, not too hard. Had it done in a full day. We always glue ours together and hang in the garage..

This puzzle is a lot of fun and not very difficult. The product itself is good quality.
