The piece of Latigo leather I received is perfect. No scratches, no discoloration. It is exactly as described and will be great for my project. There may be a slight error in the description. It is described as "tooling" leather. Vegetable Tanned leather is used for tooling, Latigo is already dyed and finished and designed to be used as it is, soft and flexible. If you want to carve or tool the leather, order Vegetable Tanned leather.

I'm surprised and really pleased with this hide. The quality is good, it's free of blemishes, the material is what it's supposed to be, and even the back is treated well and free of excess fuzz. If you need good leather for a good project, then this'll work.

Crappy. I bought the veggie tan and it was decent. Bought the brown color and it is past the point of crappy!

I purchased this brand because they specifically addressed the backside in their description and photos claiming that their leather has a clean and smooth, backside. This is honestly one of the worst back sides I’ve ever received outside of just purchasing leather from a craft store. Three stars because the leather itself is nice, but the backside is fuzzy messy disaster. Ultimately, I used it because of time constraints, but definitely disappointed in the description versus the product.

Typically I purchase the same product from a well known leather store but will now only be ordering this. Free amazon shipping makes this much more cost effective. The quality of this leather is great. Highly recommend. Arrived almost a week early as well!
