LEVINCHY 8 inch Damascus Chef's Knife

My first go around with Japanese knife craftsmanship. Just incredible. I have Henkel and I have Zwilling. So far this knife is superior. The comfort, the quality of craftsmanship, the Damascus Steel. This knife seems sharper, and holds its edge much longer than my other knives. Now granted the other knives have several years. But for the money, this knife is spot on. And it looks really nice I'll most likely be getting more of these. If they're all this quality

Had this for about 6 months. I actually use this just as much if not more than my 8” chef knife. Jap steel keeps its edge for long time. Handle is gorgeous and super comfortable - but also just heavy enough to have a good grip even for my big hands. Highly recommend this for Anyone regardless of how much they cook - though this is NOT good for meal preps, you still need a chef knife of some kind - look into a Santoku, I love mine. I use this for small prep stuff like im making a single dish for me and just need to cut some stuff up real quick and don’t need to bring out the heavy duty chef knife to cut up a few peppers and onions to toss into a pan. Or I chop up leftover meats real quick into small portions for eating or cooking more. Best value for a QUALITY jap steel utility knife that looks gorgeous

I should have taken a photo of the blade after I used this sharpener they sent with the knife. The knife itself is incredible. Balanced, heavy, different pivot points that you can use based on different ways to hold your knife to chop, slice, etc. I personally hold the knife differently depending on what I'm working with, so it's very adaptable. I bought both the santoku and the chef. Anyway the point, I used this sharpener, and when I looked at the blade, it was chewed up beyond belief. My jaw about hit the floor in panic. Literally looked like someone to it to the corner of a brick. Luckily I happened to have a 1000 and 6000 grit sharpening wet stone on hand, and was able to fix it. I was so pissed they would send me something so subpar with such a brilliant knife. Buy the knives just DO NOT USE THIS PIECE OF CRAP SHARPENER!!!!

Handle is a perfect ergonomic fit for my medium-large hand. The knife is well balanced and very sharp. Love the Damascus detail. First use was slicing raw carrots and a cooked a pork tenderloin roast on Christmas day. Each cut was like butter. Glad I bought two so my son-in-law could have one also.

Wow is this thing sharp! It cuts through meat and veggies like it's a damn lightsaber!! Beautiful Damascus steel blade to boot. Frankly I picked this knife initially from a lineup of hundreds because i liked the look of the natural wood handle and it didn't disappoint. Not only beautiful but very comfortable as well. You sure can't beat the price either. My only concern is how deeply I'm going to lacerate myself when i finally do cut my other hand with it. It should heal up nicely though. Anyway if you haven't stopped reading and bought this knife by now then you really don't want a new kitchen knife do you?🤪

The knife is sharp. But the handle is short and thin for my liking. I feel that the handle is too small. The handle seems to be made of wood but has a plasticy feel to it.
