Good quality for the money. A little back story on this knife. The first knife that came was defective because the frame lock was a bit to long and therefore made it too difficult to release with thumb had to use a screwdriver to release it. I returned the first knife and then asked for a replacement and the frame lock releases much easier. I must admit that there is a bit of finesse and thumb strength needed to release the frame lock and fold down the knife. This is because the part of the frame lock where you put your thumb to release it protrudes only slightly outside of the knife frame itself which does not give your thumb enough surface area to push on the frame lock. But I believe this is a good thing because it reduces possibility of accidently pushing the release to easily and causing the knife to fold down unintentionally and causing injury. The knife is very sharp so it will handle most cutting jobs. Very well designed and sturdy.

High Quality Personal Knife

Ultimate semi- budget knife. Had had dozens, if not more, of Tek-Force knives, and nothing wrong with them if you come to terms with what they are. Budgett, semi- poorly made knives, no bother if lost, plastic handles, workable, but may Last 4 days in a true survival situation. This Gerber you can count on for years, and no shame pulling it out at a true knife afficionados gathering. I plan on upgrading soon. Awesome blade, for price,, but now that I've seen quality, I'm going for an $80 to 100 dollar masterpiece. Normally I give my spares to the scouts or similar groups, but this one I will dang hold on to.. Only problem is a bit hard to open one handed, but was told by the experts not to oil or loosen, It'll work itself out.. Any thoughts? Otherwise best knife I've purchased on Amazon, or any folder anywhere for that matter. 2 thumbs up and it is only mid-level. Can't imagine a true high quality Gerber. I'll find out soon. I started carrying this knife a few weeks ago. It replaced at Smith and Wesson tanto knife that was a little heavier and had screws that I could not find the proper tool to tighten. The knife opens easy, it light and importantly to me it was cheap (about $11). The blade came sharp but have no idea how long that will last or how good the steel is to resharpen. The only thing I don't like is that is says Gerber on the pocket clip. The pocket clip is only about half the length of the knife so it doesn't get in the way too much and the side with the clip is smooth so it doesn't tear up the edge of your pocket with pulling it out or storing it. I am glad that I bought 4 of these (because I am sure I will lose it or break it someday).

I love my Gerber Swagger and was really excited for the Assisted opening of this "newer" version but the knife in the pictures and the one in the video are not the same. The ones pictured do not have any type of open assist. Neither did the one I received. When I got this one it was the exact same as my older one that was lost. Infact, the new one was so hard to open I had to bend the lock clip with pliers just so I could open it one handed. If the version with open assist is available I would love it but if it's not you should really remove this video as it's incredibly misleading. The image below with the red arrow is from the video on this page showing the release button. The image with the green arrow is the one I received that does not have the release button. These are obviously different versions and the one I have does not have The open assist option.

Looks great, good knife for the price point. Sharp and capable for EDC. Initially it was difficult to open with just one hand as it was very stiff and thumb stud felt uncomfortable. After using for a few days it did become much easier to open with one hand, although I still need to close using both hands

Went with what a brand of knife I didn't know and was super disappointed. I can always rely on Gerber knives. This one is just the right size with a good grip that can come out at the flick of my wrist. Just what I was looking for.

What have you done to my Swagger?? I’ve purchased and lost 2 of these and finally was able to purchase a new one and it’s been changed! Description states that it is assisted opening. It is not! It also used to have a pop-out type blade lock now instead it has the stupid push over type. Very disappointed! False advertising! Sadly I have to return this imposter

Ich kenne Gerber als solide Schmiede für Funktion..... dies Teil ist definitiv als Schrott zu bezeichnen . Sofort wieder zurück geschickt.
