So handy! It’s so well designed and really sturdy , my cat loves it , feels safe in it and I can even fit a blanked in there with him so he’s all snug ! He wears a collar so the attachment inside the carrier is so good cos he can’t jump out . The pockets are big enough to fit a small car bowl , treats , his lead , my phone and a water bottle and more if you’d like . It’s great space and very soft and comfortable ! Defo buy - I go the grey and green XL Acrylic with mesh at the top and back and my tabby cat is 4KG , even if he gains weight or gets bigger it’ll still fit him ! Great product :)

Bought this after my girl got so heavy it almost killed me to carry her to the vet and back in a standard carrier! It’s so much easier with the weight distributed so evenly. She’s 4.4kg and quite a small build, you can see how she is able to lie down. My other two cats are larger and would be able to sit but probably not lie down. I am very impressed with the quality, everything feels sturdy and durable. I’ve only taken her to the vet in it once, but it feels like it’s worth the money. All the pockets and pouches are very useful, I don’t have to wear an extra bag to carry my umbrella/keys/her meds etc. I took her on the train and the bag fits easily on my lap on a standard seat. She was relaxed and comfortable on the journey, despite bouncing up and down a little as I walked, and she enjoyed being able to see out of all the windows. Felt like a mountaineer but it was worth the stares for the convenience! If you’re looking for something roomy for a small animal, I highly recommend this carrier.

Well I was very reluctant to buy this, only because I felt our furry friend Bob the Cat would not be happy in it. He has outgrown his first carrier. So as parents we discussed his wellbeing for when we needed to take him out. We think this pet carrier is amazing and so does Bob the Cat. On arrival we unpacked it and put it up. The frame to keep it in shape is much stronger and sturdier than I thought it would be so it holds its shape well, especially it you only open up one of the side doors. The base is very solid so no sagging bottom. The extension is made of strong mesh and has a zipper opening, which gives him the opportunity to run through the carrier when it is on the floor. As for the back pack, all of the carrier straps are very strong and well padded, along with a chest and midriff strap to secure it on your back. We bought the design which has the clear plastic window this gives our furry friend a good viewing area and there is adequate ventilation in the 2 side panels and through the mesh top opening. All of the working opening parts have double locking zippers so would be difficult for your furry friend to open. My partner carried him and I walked behind so I could observe Bobs reaction and behaviour and he seemed very settled . On putting the carrier on the back seat of the car we did extend it so he had more room to lay down and move around. So all in all a good result for all 3 of us. Before we used it for carrying we put it up in the house for Bob to get used to and we played lots of hiding games in it and put a few treats in it for encouragements. It all seemed to help him accept his new portable luggage. I would highly recommend this product. Also the company sent an email to me a few days after the delivery giving some additional advice and a helpline number. Very reassuring and professional.

This is really handy and well-made. I have a young pup and use it to transport to the vet or when I take my adult dog on a walk. It has mesh and ventilation holes, but does get humid/stuffy inside even when it is mild out. So be careful singing hot weather.

Brillant for my tabby cross bengal, he lays down and looks comftable, no stress. Versatile for front and back wearing to keep out of the sun. Enough space for water, treats, food and extra leads. + quick delivery. Thanks

Our kitty absolutely LOVES the backpack carrier! Went for the acrylic one (not mesh!). He much prefers this to the standard plastic carrier we used to take him to the vets (he used to cry n moan to get out, despite the vets only being a short journey).... he now enjoys car journeys, seems at peace and very calm in the backpack carrier. We took him on a staycation with us and the carrier worked better than we could have imagined. If I could hazard a guess I think he likes that he can see what’s happening as there’s full visibility through the acrylic, he’s able to pop his head out the top of the rucksack if feeling brave or lay down if not. Great investment overall - confident we’ll enjoy lots of use out of it 🌟

So in an attempt to try and find one ideal soft carrier for my new kitten I have read some articles and looked at some reviews and still could not find enough info to have the feel for what would best serve my needs. My needs: A soft carrier for plane travel An everyday carrier to take the kitten/cat to the vet - ideally bike mountable A backpack for possible future adventures/long trips/hikes Wants: Ideally extendable because on the first trip coming up (to bring the kitty into the country) we will have a long layover in a city (talking about 10-12 hours of being basically homeless, so would be nice for her to have a safe space to move about a bit without being on a leash in an unknown area Comfortable to wear Easy to set up and fold Good quality weather proof design (never know when it will rain in the UK and don’t think the cat would enjoy getting soaked, so ideally the top has an optional raincover Visibility of my cat, she’s black so a whole black interior with a black mesh would not let me see her well So I have looked at over 10 different carriers and here’s my comparison. Note most have not been tried with my cat as she was not with me at the time. Pecute expandable backpack Pros It is just made differently, you can tell that it has been tweaked just right, it is not just a bunch of features thrown together It is the most comfortable carrier of all to carry! The smaller expandible one is very much the same but has two expandable sides and comes with a collapsible bowl. The bigger one is lovely and I really like that it does not require any assembly with the metal frame but instead all you need to do is zip up the sides and you are ready to go. It also has less velcro than the smaller version, but it is heavier and bulkier and unlikely to pass with an airline. With both the extensions have no divider from the main compartment unlike the Petsfit and so may be susceptible to chewing/clawing when not expanded (I would think this would be hard to notice unless you are actively watching your pet as that mesh is not on the outside surface when closed). However they are immediately accessible to your pet and have a nice plush surface. On the smaller bag one of the extensions has a direct zipper access from the outside while on the bigger one both extensions have an access point. Of minor note is that the bigger one just holds shape better over all and when you extend it the floor of the extensions lies perfectly flat whereas with the smaller one they pucker a bit. Having gotten the smaller expandable version I really have to say that the metal frame is a bit of a nuisance as it makes the bag so sturdy that I could not fit it under the seat in front of me on the plane (it was like literally 3 mm too tall, I would have probably been able to fit the bag sideways but as there were blankets inside due to the time of the year and the outside temperature I could not easily turn the bag without opening it, which you aren’t allowed to do in the plane). Also when I tried to reassemble the bag the long strap got around the bag as I was trying to push the metal frame into place and it took me about 15 minutes to figure out why I was not able to push it into place fully, I did not enjoy this stress on the trip but it is my silly mistake, however at the same time proves the point of the frame being a bit too fiddly. Cat loved it for the long trip we had to make! Did not actually end up expanding it at all as she was so nervous and it was so cold that she was mostly hiding under a blanket anyways (but we did a trial walk to the beach when no one was around in warmer weather and she loved the expansions and being able to watch the seagulls from there) Also the clip for the harness is just the right size to make it comfortable and safe. On the other hand the dark net and interior made it really difficult to actually see my cat inside there. Another thing that the smaller one has that is not found on the bigger expandable version are the multiple loops on one of the expandable sides - in the promotional video they show hanging the bowl on one but I am thinking that they could also possibly be used to secure the bag with some velcro straps to my bike (esp if I buy a rack for added security). Halinfer Expandable Cat Carrier Backpacks, Space Capsule Bubble Pet Carrier Pros Small - probably easier to cover in the rain and for people of smaller frame/kids Ok position on the back Great for displaying and showing off your cat expandable Cons Not very stable on its own Not convinced of the quality The way it is shipped isn’t great and it came with a crack and all deformed I have kept the two Pecute ones - the backpack and the small expandable bag - I feel like they are the best value and together cover just about everything I need (although neither is totally ideal it is the closest to ideal that I have found). As for the bike rides I will either come up with a way to make the bag work or I will just use the backpack on the bike (not my preference as then I can’t see my cat and also I do usually have a back pack of my own).

We bought this backpack because we like to go on long walks and our puppy has not had its 2nd lot of vaccinations yet, so can't go on a walk with us. However, we wanted a way to bring him along so he can get used to sound and smells of the outdoors, so we decided to give this backpack a go, and it certainly didn't disappoint! It's very sturdy with plenty of room for our small pup, with plastic windows on the back and both the sides so he can see outside. The top has a flap which can be unzipped and velcroed back so your pup can pop his head out the top (ours is too short so we kept it zipped up). There's also a strap to clip onto the dog's collar/harness if you wish to keep it secure. There is also plenty of room for storage so you can carry all your poop bags, water bottle(s), collapsable food bowls, and other bits and bobs you might need when going out with your puppy. My only small gripe is that the film on the plastic windows was not easy to peel off as it's trapped underneath all the edges, so when you peel it off, you're left with residue film around the edges that's very difficult to remove. But this is just a very small point and I'm very happy with the product overall.

I am using the backpack to carry my poodle as well as extending the annex for her to sleep in. We love it!

The backpack came nicely packed. Used it for the first time today that kitty got to go to the park. Both human and kitty are satisfied.

We bought one of those little bubble window hard plastic backpack carriers for our cat years ago and it got used to take her to the vet and that's it. Total pain to transport with the weird shape and you couldn't store the thing anywhere thanks to the structure of it. We had a trip coming up and decided we needed a new way to carry both of our cats and purchased two of these. Absolutely outstanding quality. Love how it's completely collapsible to the point you could store it in a drawer or the corner of your closet, but we honestly barely collapse it at all because the cats love to jump in and live in it for a while with the back pulled out. You really can't ask much more for a cat carrier than the cat to be delighted to be in it. The mesh is strong and has stood up to a little bit of biting and scratching, but generally we have tried to be sure the cats don't do that, anyway. The straps are comfortable when carrying the cats around. With the expandable back collapsed, it works great sitting sideways as a more traditional carrier, as well. Sits up nicely in the car on roadtrips and acts as a very nice safe space compartment to ride in. The fact that it doubles as a little living space while at your destination is a huge bonus. Well worth every penny! If there had been some way that it could expand even more or that you could connect two of them to be able to get a small litter box into it and have an even larger enclosure, it would be literally perfect.

Muy bien hecho y con perfectas terminaciones. Vale el precio!!! A mi gato LE ENCANTA!!! es un gato grande de 7 kilos y soporta su peso perfectamente. Mi gato cabe muy bien y cuando se extiende la parte de atrás es la felicidad para él. Lo compré porque viajaré con él en cabina, de España a Colombia con escala en México, asi que por lo largo de viaje, necesitaba que fuera un transportín MUY CÓMODO tanto para él como para mi. Trae bolsillos laterales para el agua y otras cosas. Cremalleras de seguridad para que tu mascota no las abra. Trae para ajustarte el transportin en el pecho y éste no "baile". Trae dos cojincitos muy suaves y cómodos: uno para la parte delantera y otro para la que se extiende. El de la parte delantera lo puedes quitar para lavar, el otro no. La parte que se extiende tiene una puertica para tu mascota con cremallera que puedes abrir. Trae una correa para enganchar a tu mascota. Yo en el personal no la uso con mi gato porque tiende a dar vueltas y se puede hacer daño pues se le puede enrollar en alguna parte de su cuerpito, cada mascota es distinta en todo caso es una buena opción.
