Peace of mind for aging parents
Sturdy! The quality of these safety rails are good. The back plate is also metal, not plastic like some others were tried. Easy to install. It took about 20 minutes. Easy to follow instructions. Well packaged for shipping. It works great for my aging parents.

Well-made, Easy to install (without using the confusing directions)
My wife and I are in our late 70's and we're finding it harder and harder to get up from the commode. Didn't think that would ever be a problem, but it is. Installing grab bars wasn't possible, so we ordered one of the Carex toilet frames. The printed installation instructions were practically impossible to comprehend. But the pieces were nicely labeled and in just a few minutes I was able to assemble the frame just by looking at the parts. You must first remove the toilet seat. Then place the newly-assembled safety frame on the commode and reattach the toilet seat. It took maybe 15 minutes to figure out how everything fit together and then do the actual installation. The parts are nicely made and the finished product looks very nice. Better yet, it solved the problem of rising safely from a seated position. We liked the safety frame so much, we ordered a second one. And, this time, the installation was quick and easy...maybe 5 minutes tops. I hate to think of myself as "elderly," but there you have it. The Carex Toilet Safety Frame has been a perfect solution to one of the drawbacks of getting old.

Sturdy
This toilet safety frame is very sturdy and provides excellent support and stability. It was easy to assemble and fits securely around the toilet without shifting. The handles are strong and comfortable to grip, making sitting down and standing up much safer and easier. A great option for added confidence and safety in the bathroom. It helps my old man get off the toilet so easily.

Product work well and it’s max weight is 300 lbs
Nice product that works well and the instructions could be better but remember A go’s with A and B go’s with B and the feet need to be all way on the toilet if no reverse them.

Pay attention to the front tabs to have them directed towards the rear for support!
Easy to put together, is taking my hubby a little time to get used to the handrails being back so far, but sturdy and nice NOT to have all the legs in the way. I really like that you can easily remove the toilet seat with this safety rail unit for ease of cleaning purposes.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
HORRIBLE PRODUCT. DO NOT BUY. Instructions are worse than Ikea's. Finally got it assembled. There are two bars, one of which goes on either side underneath the toilet seat. When trying to push off on the handles to stand, the bars slip out from under the seat, making the whole thing completely unstable. When pushing the bars back under the toilet seat, they pinch the skin. The instructions also say not to put too much pressure on the handles. I just had knee replacement surgery and the only way to get up from sitting on the toilet is to put pressure on the handles. Overall, a horrid experience. Went out and bought a proper toilet riser from a medical supply store, which is what I should have done in the first place. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It shouldn't even be sold unless it's completely redesigned. It was promptly returned.

Excellent sturdy product
We had purchased another version of this product that was supported at the top and bottom. it was excellent .but now that a walker is involved we needed a product where the support was just on the top, where there was full clearance on the floor. This one is great, but I did need help putting it in as an 80 some year old.

Not for larger people...
Strong hardware. Easy to install but I wish it would adjust for a wider fit. There isn't much room even after adjusting to widest setting. I am not a huge woman but would like more room for ease of cleaning ones self. I am 5ft 8 170lbs. Overweight but not huge.
