Turned old clothes into new
Had a couple older white and grey dress shirts with faded lines and noticeable sweat stains in the armpits. I really like these shirts though and the one with the branch stitched in would be almost impossible to find again... I like light green shirts. Bought a light green dye and its like 2 new shirts. Worked out great. Nice even coloring, buttons just lightly tinted. Made the stripes on the one shirt look less faded. Also, the branch pattern on the one shirt used to be the same color as the rest of the shirt. It was very subtle, barely noticeable. Not sure why but when dyed that part took a much darker tone than the rest of the shirt. I guess that thread is a different material than the rest. Don't care though, I love how it came out. Easy enough process to do. Boil some water, remove from stove, throw in dye, throw in clothes, stir a while, remove, rinse, wash. Boom, new shirt.

Color didn't really match the bottle
The dyeing process was a success, but I felt that the color didn't match the color of the bottle. The fabric is more of a lime green color, which has more yellow than the color on the bottle. I may redye it.

Rit DyeMore to the Rescue for Dance Costume
I needed a dance costume in emerald green, which is a color nearly impossible to find. So I decided to buy the costume pieces in white and dye them. The material of the costume is 80-90% nylon, and 10-20% spandex, depending on the pieces. I first decided to try Rit All-Purpose Dye, color Emerald Green, and I used the sink method. While the mesh skirt turned out the way I had hoped, the top did not. Even after soaking for over an hour and using 2 bottles of dye, it turned out too light and had a bluish hue, which you can see on the left side of the picture I have attached. Before giving up hope, though, I called Rit's Customer Service line to ask if I could dye over what I did with the Rit DyeMore, color Peacock. The representative, who was super nice and helpful, said yes. Also, I did not need to remove the Emerald coloring either, since it was lighter and I wanted to make it a deeper green. For the Rit DyeMore, you have to do the stove top method; that is the only option. I was nervous to say the least, but it worked perfectly, and I cannot be happier with how it turned out. It is the perfect shade of green and exactly what I wanted (the right side of the picture attached).

Good
Good dye for dyeing plastic buttons. Not the cheapest option but not bad.

Splotchy
I had a very difficult time getting even coverage. Not beginner friendly I guess. I needed green and brown take a blue dress to olive. The green alone was too bright. The dye itself was very consistent. It was sealed and packaged well. I was a bit frustrated following instructions to a t amd coming out with a splotchy dress (I stirred foe an hour straight...). Overall I'm not going to dye anything ever again, but it was inexpensive and a good, not great, product.
