Hard to open
Yes they make round ice balls, but boy are they hard for my old hands to get apart. I have to run them under warm water and use a knife to unseal the edges. They do not always stay round in the drink however-they can crack apart at the seam line so kind of defeats the purpose of one big chunk of ice. The grandkids love them --both for making ice balls and as toys. Regarding big ice cubes--I have found that the mini plastic storage containers with lids work really well. The semi-disposable kind with several in a package. The ice pops right out and they are inexpensive. You can buy them on Amazon. The little blue funnel is great to have handy for other stuff--but not necessary for filling the balls. If you have strong hands these would probably be fine for you --but do not work for me. Too much effort to get ice for my cocktail.

Quality product!
I just got these yesterday and made 9 ice balls already. They are very easy to make. The mold has markings at the top to tell you where to fill up to so that the ice doesn't expand out of it. I especially love the silicone funnel which is why I chose this product after looking at a number of others. The funnel isn't so useful when adding water only bc my water filter streams narrow but it would be for juices. You have to tear off the tip of the funnel since it's blocked. The mold itself is very thick and well made. I've had no issues getting the ice out. I got these as a present for my husband who enjoys scotch and he's so happy that I bought it.

Ice Ball Molds
I bought this product. It works as it is supposed to. I wrote the company several times to get a password to their secret site for clear ice balls but they never responded. I also have found these to be of the same quality as the much cheaper silicone ice ball molds from China found on eBay. Here is my site to show you how to make clear ice balls. No secrets here.[...]

I am pretty impressed with how well the molds work
I am pretty impressed with how well the molds work. The ice sphere holds up well and keeps my scotch chilled without diluting it down. The molds can be slightly difficult to open; but they are not too bad once you use it a couple times. My only complaint is that the funnel was not included in my package/shipment.

Good Molds
Makes great ice cubes as expected. The only problem has been getting the bottom half out of its mold. I had to add hot water to loosen it up enough to pop free. This could easily be a problem related to anything from over filling to a non-cooperative freezer. It doesn't lessen the effectiveness of the product.

Awesome Ice Ball Molds!
These molds are way better than ordinary ice trays. They are not made of plastic so they donโt break. They are made of thick and durable FDA food-grade silicone. Furthermore, the ice ball molds are dishwasher safe and BPA-free. Since the molds are made of silicone, they are also flexible and allow easy removal of ice. They are leak-proof as well. They last a lot longer than ice cubes, which have very thin edges than cause them to melt and shrink easily. This means that since the ice balls are slow melting, you can expect less dilution of your drink. Effective in keeping your drink both cold and flavorful!

Tie-Fighter Ice
No matter how hard I try, I always seem to get some sort of ridge around the ice sphere. Also, when the ice melts, it doesn't do so uniformly. Within a few minute the shape begins to look like a star wars tie fighter, i.e. there's a gap around the whole circumference. I had a 4-sphere mold sent to me from Maker's Mark years ago that worked much better as it never left a ridge around the sphere, and they were solid and true spheres through the entire melt.. These aren't. I wish I hadn't dropped my old MM form and cracked it. Also, no funnel was sent.

I love the Large Deluxe Sphere Ice Molds by StyloPhora
I hate it when drinks get watered down by regular ice. So my favorite trick when making pitchers of mixed drinks is to freeze some of beverage into ice cubes. Then when the ice melts it doesn't water down my drink.I love these using the Large Deluxe Sphere Ice Molds by StyloPhora. They are simple to use, don't leak and are easy to clean. I especially like the little collapsible funnel that comes with the molds. I use it all the time.
