Steps of Faith 1987-1991

In the 1990s there was so much Contemporary Christian music that a lot of young people who were not exposed to Rock and Roll in their households finally had something to listen to in the car that Mom and Dad would not disapprove of. And it did not sound like preachers in the Old Time Gospel Hour and their quaint traveling families. There are more prominent artists like Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, and Steven Curtis Chapman. But I find that I don't revisit that music as much as I do the songs of Margaret Becker. Her concerts were picketed in the day by Christians, because she was Roman Catholic. Kind of puts a perspective on the fear-mongering we see now. Anyway, no politics. Margaret Becker is not the Melissa Etheridge of Christian music. She is the Margaret Becker of Margaret Becker. Give this album a listen. It is fantastic. It is lifting and sometimes somber. But all in all, this album is just a plethora of great music-making.

I bought this CD for myself. The songs are soothing and relaxing. Even though the CD was used, it was of a high quality.

Used to have this on Cassette, maybe even CD. Great collection of work by an artist journeying through faith. God speaks through this wonderful album.

Good singer, I love her songs and her style. I listen to this DVD just about everyday. Thank you very much for making it possible for me to have this music cd.

I love this music. One of my top 10. Almost every song is a hit for me, the best however, is Who Am I? Powerful message. Love, love it, love it!
