Roman Carbide DC1065 1-1/2-Inch Round Nose, 1/2-Inch Shank

I needed to make furring strips for the PVC legs of my geodesic dome greenhouse. I'm applying a non traditional isinglass as the plastic cover and am using 2"x2"'s as the nailing /furring strip along the length of the legs and then glue/screw the plastic to each triangular facet by stapling to the wood nailer's.I use the router bit to cut an 1.5" concavity down the length of the 2x2" so that it will cup the PVC and provide a maximum of glue surface for a better bond.

I ordered this for a recent project - attempting to match 100 year-old molding in a NM adobe farmhouse. It was one of three router bits used. The cuts were very smooth. Qualification: the wood was clear Douglas fir, which is very nice to work. That said, I would definitely consider additional bits by this manufacturer in the future.

This was a brand that I was unfamiliar with but it turned out to be razor sharp and did the job for which it was purchased and has a lot of use still in it. I was very impressed with the quality.

This bit did exactly what I needed it to do. Not sure how long it will last, but it cut through my maple boards easily.

Works great, and did what I needed it to do!! I would recommend this router bit to my fellow carpenters!!

Works extremely well and have made quite a few bats with it so far.
