This thing will only work as a 2.0 and only for 2.0 storage devices! It will not work for keyboards or a mouse or anything that is not a storage device. Even storage devices that are 2.0 some times works. If you have a 3.0 storage device it will not recognize it at all! I had searched all over for drivers. windows cant find any my motherboard manufacture can't find any the only one that works as a 2.0 is from my possessors which is 2.0. Complete waist of money.

I bought this for a new computer I built. It fit in the slot nicely and the cables were a good length to plug into the motherboard. Every slot works and it seems to be running at USB 3.0 speed (did not actually test, but reads and writes to 3.0 USB drives were very fast). What more can I say, it just works. I like when something just works as it is designed - and advertised.
