The perfect light!
Okay - I almost never write reviews so when I do, it's because I really dislike or I really like something. This is the latter. When I went looking for a magnifier light, I had some concerns and nobody on Amazon seemed to answer my questions. Is the lens big enough? Will it be "head heavy" and droop or fall down? Is it sturdy? How many diopters do I need? Will it be tall enough to get out of my way when I don't need it, and will it come down far enough when I do need it for up-close work? Will it stay wherever I position it? Is the light bright enough, and evenly lit? Is it the right "kind" of light?OK - I am an engineer. But some of you are like me and probably asking one or more of these questions. For this light - I loved it the minute I started using it. The LED illumination is really perfect - very even and bright! It has 3 different "temperatures" - from warm (slightly yellow) to bright white and then an almost blue-white. I will use all of them - depending on what I am doing. They cycle through just by hitting the power button, which is right by the lens. The lamp on my bench (see pics) stands 30" above the bench when I don't need it. It can come down literally to sit on the bench when I need super close up work. I have a 6' bench, and the light can stretch more than halfway down the bench. Perfect! The lens is acrylic. Overtime it may scratch. I think that's more a matter of how I take care of the lamp. But it comes with a cleaning cloth that more than covers the lens, so I plan to keep it clean and dust free with that. The benefit of acrylic is lighter weight - which helps this light stay where you put it without the weight of glass. The lens can be rotated a little bit to put the small magnifier portion of the lens where you want it. The lens can easily be popped out and rotated 120 degrees at a time, which means the magnifier can be put at 3 different places (think 12 o'clock, 4 o'clock, and 8 o'clock). That magnifier is a really cool feature - only about 1" diameter but it's like a turbocharge for your old eyes if you really need to see something in great detail. The lens itself feels really big. Certainly more than big enough to magnify any projects I have ever needed it for. Is it magnifying enough? It seems the magnification depends on how close the lens is to the object. So I find that just by moving the lamp closer to, or farther away, from something I can change the magnification. And it's certainly enough. It is really sturdy. I have worked on many lamps with those super long springs that hang in air. None of that here. It moves easy, stays in position, and has no wobble or play in the joints. The joints themselves can be tightened as, I expect, they may loosen a little over time. The base this come with is also a nice feature - as it is designed to clamp to a table and can handle very thick tables. The lamp rotates left/right very well in this mount and does not have that wobbly feeling you get with cheap mounts.I bought another one of these lights with the base (heavy metal ring with 5 caster wheels) to give to an elder that will benefit from the light. The base is also a solid deal - and the light can be extended wayyyy out from the base without it tipping over. All in all - a great purchase and worth the money. I think NeatFi is a brand worth watching, folks.

Good product
The magnifying glass is very good and the extra inch helps. The three choices of color in the lighting a good feature. Would like to have it have a cover for the lens which it doesn’t. Over all a good purchase.

underbuilt and underwhelming
I have a larger Neatfi lamp that I consider flawless. This magnifying lamp strains to be in the same league. Nope. The physical build is marginal for a $150 lamp. The glass lamp head is heavy and because it mounts at one end, is particularly off balance. Gravity is not its friend. With this lamp, it seems Neatfi has done the bare minimum to counteract gravity, which makes the lamp unpleasant to use. The spring tension arms are *just* adequate to hold the lamp up; the lamp doesn’t quite sag when you reposition it, but it feels like it wants to. The articulation of the head is clumsy and awkward. There are positions where the position of tighten-it-knob prevents the desired position of the lamp head. A knob 1/2” longer would prevent that. It seems like Neatfi built the articulation with the parts they already had, rather than bother with beefier parts and engineering to accommodate the extra weight of the glass.I am not a fan of a single switch for 4 positions (off, bright, cool, warm). Having to cycle thru all positions to turn the lamp off, I end every well-lit work session with unpleasant jolts of blue and yellow light. Brain jarring. Stupid. The lamp does what it supposed to, but using it is noticeably unenjoyable. I wouldn’t buy it again.

Well-Built Magnifying Desk Lamp - Great Lighting Selections - Very Adjustable
I was looking for a way to incorporate a magnifying lens and light for my electronics projects. There is nothing more annoying than not having the sharp eyesight of when I was younger. I looked into the lighted magnifying glasses, but the practice of taking them on and off seemed like a pain.I looked into magnifying lamps on an extension arm and came across this product. The lamp extension had to be long enough to reach the center of my desk for my detailed work, but also be able to easily move up to be used as a regular desk lamp. I also wanted to be able to move the lamp out of the way when it wasn't needed. Well, this product hit the mark on all points and more.It has a very strong arm that is easy to move in and out of the way but holds its position securely when set in place. The holding clamp is strong and of ample size, and allows the lamp arm to move freely.Three lighting temperatures plus dimming capabilities are plenty of options to choose from, and having the light control on the magnifying lamp is very convenient. The lighting control is very easy to use, and it remembers what your last settings were. The magnifying glass is clear and sturdy, and it has a small super-magnifying area for more close-up viewing.I love when I find a product that delights me right out of the box, and this is one of those products. It is worth the price of admission.

Perfect width
I specifically bought this lamp for the width of the magnifying glass, it’s prefect. The clamp is easy to install, the whole lamp is sturdy. The only reason why I didn’t give it a perfect score is the maneuverability, as some reviews stated, it’s tricky to set. You have to keep the lamp in line with the arm otherwise it just doesn’t stay put, it tilts or just drops. Not so fun when someone’s face is underneath (I do lash extensions). I am still keeping it because I love all the rest of it. I’ll just learn to adjust it as it needs to.
