Smooth writing excellent feel mechanical pencil, but in a 0.5 mm lead size. This is the basic version. No rubber finger grip, just a plastic pencil. Don't be fooled by the low price, this is a quality pencil. The lead is thin, but writes without breaking. This little device is amazing. good lead control with each advance of pressing the eraser button. My wife had bought some cheapo ones from a no name Chinese source. That poor POS advanced the lead too much, the lead was constantly breaking, and the eraser just left a dark smudge. The BIC writes well, the lead doesn't break, and the eraser leaves behind a clean surface. These are inexpensive but turn out to be a high value item. I like the clean look and the tabs are in assorted colors. I use these both for regular writing when I want a fine line, as well as with a woodworking measuring ruler with little accurate holes that take a 0.5 mm mechanical pencil lead.

These are my favorite mechanical pencils. The colors are bright and the sparkles shimmer beautifully when light hits them. The pencils are light and feel nice when I hold them. They fit in my hand like a normal pencil does, except lighter weight and without the need to be sharpened! I’ve used these for years and have never had issues with the graphite getting stuck or adding fresh sticks; I just end up buying more because they get lost or run away. They are surprisingly durable for how lightweight they are. Marks made with these erase easily, and the erasers themselves work well. These BIC sparkle number 2 pencils are the only pencils I buy. They’re fun, comfortable, and work great! I have bought many and will be back for more!

These pastel mechanical pencils are exactly what I hoped for! The lead writes really smoothly with very little pressure, and I haven’t had issues with breakage. The pastel barrels are fun and cheerful they make writing and note-taking more enjoyable. The erasers actually work well too (no ghosting!), and the grip feels comfortable even when I’m writing a lot. Great for school, work, and daily journaling. These are great quality, durable, and easy to use. I buy these for my classroom because they are cute and the colors are the best! There is something for everyone. One thing to note is comfort: if you write a lot, you may want to use a grip holder, since these pencils don’t have built-in grips and can leave a slight indent on your finger after long writing sessions. That said, they’re still perfectly usable for normal daily writing. The pack comes with 24 pencils, which is a great value and honestly feels like it will last forever. Because of that, I probably wouldn’t need to repurchase anytime soon — but that’s not a negative at all. Overall, these are solid, reliable BIC pencils with smooth, dark writing. The eraser could be better, but the writing performance more than makes up for it. A good choice if you want dependable pencils for school, work, or home use.

I purchased these for my 9 year old daughter who prefers mechanical pencils in school. We are very happy with our purchase. The price was great for how many you receive. My daughter tends to misplace writing utensils often so I appreciated the fact that these came with 24. They are durable and this pack is going to last for quite some time. She passed a few out to her friends too! The best part is the cute pastel Spring colors! The colors are really pretty and third grade girl approved! Highly recommend!

the pencils worked good, the led is a breakable if you try to press hard on it, all the colors were pretty, the led wasn’t too thick or thin and it wrote smoothly.

My kids are obsessed with mechanical pencils, and these BIC Extra Smooth pastel ones instantly became the hottest item in elementary school. Smooth writing, fun colors, and apparently very high social value. They were such a hit that we ended up giving some away in my youngest daughter’s birthday goodie bags. Big mistake. I now know which kids remember that party and which ones are hoping for a sequel. They write well, do not jam, and make kids genuinely excited to do schoolwork, which feels suspicious. Five stars for quality pencils and accidental popularity.
