Dyson 966489-12, 1, Grey, 0 Decibeles

I recently purchased the Dyson Soft Roller Cleaner Head and have found it particularly effective on hard surfaces like my kitchen floor, showing a noticeable improvement over the standard head. However, it falls a bit short on carpets. While I was hoping it would be able to tackle dirt trapped in tile gaps or lift stains as a mop would, it doesn't quite get there. On a lighter note, a neat feature is how the brush turns purple when spinning at high speeds. All in all, it's a worthwhile addition for those with predominantly hard flooring in their home.

I’ve had my Dyson for 3 years and the hard surface head was not picking up anything, it was getting stuck in the see through area of the head. Constantly clean it but no improvement. After looking at the reviews I took the chance and just replaced the head instead of replacing the whole Dyson.So glad I did, it’s like new again! It glides over the floor again and picks up perfectly again. Genuine part and cheaper than Dyson’s own website..

Dyson parts are just so expensive, otherwise does what it is supposed to do

We have the v10 with the standard hard and soft floor head and whilst it did the job on hard floors, it also spread some of the bigger bits. We tried this and it completely changed the game. Sucks up anything now and makes it so much easier. Worth having if you’ve got lots of hard floors. Great in the kitchen/diner.

I like this model Dyson, keeps our laminate floors dust free. However, I didn't realise the old roller was barely 12 months old so it didn't last long before the areas in contact with the floor became too worn to use. Hope this last longer!

Really pleased we bought this, did mull it over for a week as quite pricey.However, this is well worth the money, we only have stair carpet & rest of floors are wood, laminate & linoleum.Great at picking up lint, dust & dog hair.Would highly recommend.

Fits my V11 animal cordless Dyson perfectly and works very well on my hard flooring without scratching them. Good price as well.

Works perfectly with my v10 cyclone. It’s a genuine Dyson product in their packaging clips in as expected and the brush bar spins without any issues. Cheaper to buy it here than on the Dyson site. It’s great for our hardwood and tiled floors and means they’re protected and dust free.

I bought my V10 3 years ago but got the carpet tool only with it. Then, I realized I was make scratches on my wood floor. After reading comments on websites, I could see that I was not the only one facing that problem and I didn’t have the proper tool to clean my wood floor. I wanted to buy the original from Dyson but too expensive. I am really happy with it it does the job and works like the original. Worth the price. I can often read the lack of aspiration in some comments. Whatever tool you use with Dyson vacuum, make sure your filter is always clean enough to get max aspiration. You will also save the battery lifespan.

This product is exactly the same but is an updated version than the one which came with my V10. Replacing the head is a lot easier than trying to replace the roller. Mint condition. Snapped in place perfectly and works great. Despite the price (it is Dyson), I am very pleased by this OEM Roller Head. I love the updated version which must come with current V10 vacuums. Cleaning is so much better with this head. The key with Dyson products is keeping this in new condition and changing the filters on the machine regularly.
