**Q: What is the smoke point of this product?**
A: I hope the makers of this contradict my statement about it, but saying it is great for high temperatures stir frying is false advertising.  This expeller pressed, completely unrefined peanut oil has a smoke point of 320 degrees, similar to olive oil, nowhere near refined peanut oil which has a smoke point of 450 degrees.

**Q: Is this oil unrefined ? only filtered with all the nutrients and fatty acids intact ? Thanks**
A: No this is refined almond oil, right there in the ingredients section, and it NOT good.

**Q: Does your peanut oil come in a glass or plastic container?**
A: It is a Metal container and if this question is based on whether or not the oil takes on the flavor of the container it is stored in, we have had an old bottle sit hidden behind other things for quite some time in our pantry and we used it with no noticeable flavor change.  This oil is my favorite "go to" especially when frying Chicken or Wok dishes.  Excellent flavor.

A: Thank you for your interest in learning more about La Tourangelle Roasted Peanut Oil.  Our roasted peanut oil is pressed from freshly roasted peanuts and has fantastic peanut flavor. It is not organic as the peanuts we press are conventional.

This roasted peanut oil I got for Chinese cooking, but it turned out so spectacular I use it for all sweet leaning uses. Not for Italian as olive oil but for many others...fragrant in flavor like sesame oil only its roasted peanut...a fine treat. I would not buy the regular peanut oil, but when I saw this, I had to get it and the roasted peanut was an incredible surprise flavor. Hopefully this company stays in business because they seem to be the only ones who have it. Will get the large vat size to be sure I have some.
