Korean Flower Card Game / Hwatu / Go-Stop / Godori

Got this to play with a Korean friend, was pretty fun and good quality.

Affordable and instructions were given. Just need to look online to learn more about the game. Haven’t played this in over 30 years!

The quality of the cards is excellent. The directions were incomplete. Maybe whoever packaged it accidentally left a page out? The directions I received are on a single page, and it explains the card groupings, the game setup, and the player turns. It lacked any details on how the game ends, any scoring, etc. Because I can get the directions online, I can live with this, but I much prefer to have a complete game and set of instructions together, so I’ll have to print some out and keep it stored with the game. Still, the quality of the cards is nice and the game seems quite fun!

Really great set of hwatu cards. The quality is nice -- cards are thick with good images. The instructions are simple & easy to understand too.

i bought this because my korean fiance was playing it with her family and i wanted to learn how to play. the set they play with is easier to shuffle and the images look more authentic. this set is still nice and functional, but didn't look similar to the version they were playing with. perhaps theirs had some age and wear on it, which made it more shuffle-able. i'll break it in a bit more and see how i like it then.

I mainly ordered these cards because I've seen it played in many Korean movies and dramas. Also, I'm a decently calculated card player so I thought this game was perfect for me. After opening the deck of cards, I love the way they look and feel. The back has a nice plastic feel , I figured it'd be great to finally buy a deck and teach myself how to play. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase and will plan to buy more soon...maybe as stocking gifts for Christmas.
