First time buying this product and I loved it. It was super easy to use on my locs, which are waist length. Not much staining on fingers or sink or shower, the dark splashes washed out easily with soap and water. Smell wasn't as strong for me, and it washed off pretty easily. I used a regular shampoo and conditioner and my hair feels great. I think my hair is actually stronger, but will wait for a few weeks to be sure. I only needed to do the roots and it was enough for my whole head. Got the dark brown packet but it turned my hair black, which is OK for me. Maybe it will lighten up? I've bought two more dark brown packets for next time. If they are still turning my hair black, I may try the light brown. My hair is naturally dark brown.

I was a little nervous, I hadn't colored my hair in a very long time. I had not tried henna since I was quite a while ago. I read the reviews and left it on double the time.The color is stunning, look how it came out!!

The page says all natural 'chemical free' but does not list the ingredients. So I get the dye, I've used henna before so I know what my skin can handle. Turns out this product is anything but chemical free and now I'm suffering through an allergic reaction hoping I don't need to go to the hospital. Yes it's my fault for not reading the ingredients until after I started suffering symptoms - but this is product is falsely advertised and the ingredients are not listed on the page anywhere- you have to buy it to read them. I specifically searched for chemical free products. paraphenylenediamine is a chemical that can cause serious allergic reactions. I will NEVER buy or recommend this product. Highly upset and disappointed in chemicals in this 'chemical free' product. List the ingredients on the product page please. I feel the product page is deceptive. Update, I had to go to urgent care and get prescription meds, on top of allergy meds. My face and neck swelled up so much I lost my vision for about a day, blisters and my neck is swelled up so much my breathing is compromised. I missed several days of work so this nice little adventure cost me about $1000 and a gamble with my health. Please fix your product page. You're playing with peoples lives.

The reviews about it being very dark are definitely accurate. However you can temper it by not leaving it on for too long. It did a great job at gray coverage the first time I used it (2 hrs just to make sure I got all the grays!) but it was way too dark, nearly black. However it held the dye really well and even my pesky gray patches didn't lighten up until a month later. After my hair grew out a little and I needed to touch up, I left the dye on for more like 20 minutes and it was more of a lighter walnut/auburn brown rather than nearly black. While it's less intense after 20 min, the gray is starting to show through faster. I recommend playing around with it to find the right timing. I also noticed that certain parts of my hair hold this dye blend really strongly, with it getting quite dark compared to other parts- and both sections are not the ones with the gray, so not sure why that is because they have the dye on for the same amount of time. In the past I used traditional henna with lemon and had deep red/orange hair. It was interesting but after a while I couldn't keep up with the long prep/dye time. I do value the faster turnaround of this dye even though it has additives.

This is my go to at-home henna hair dye, and I've bought it four or five times already. It works well and doesn't come off, unlike one other henna treatment I've tried. I find that henna works a lot better for me than artificial hair dye because it doesn't damage my hair. Also the henna dye has a softer, more natural look that doesn't age me like artificial hair color does.

I was extremely hesitant when deciding to try this hair dye because I had heard how terrible the smell is, but I went ahead with it anyway. I have to admit, it's not nearly as awful as people claim it to be. It's not exactly pleasant, but it won't make you gag either. The application is incredibly easy, as is the mixing of the product, and they even provide you with a brush applicator and gloves. The whole process takes just 30 minutes, and the results are fantastic. The color is vibrant and gives a natural effect, and my hair feels much silkier and fuller, which is not something you typically get with other box dyes. It's a wonderful product that not only allows you to dye your hair but also benefits it. Win !

It's a good product but a truly tiny amount. I had read in the reviews that it's a small amount, but I imagined this was written by someone with thick long hair. My hair is only shoulder length and it covered about a third of it. So, with this in mind, it's extremely overpriced. Who in India can even work with 30 grams? Is it for men??Other than that it's a good product. I have used pure henna for years and this is objectively better -- nicer consistency, easier to mix/apply, works faster. But 30g at this price is ridiculous.
