Water Canvas Creme-To-Powder Foundation

I have been using Vincent Longo water canvas on and off for several years. The reason that I have not used it consistently is because it is not readily available at many retail locations and it can be difficult to match foundation colors online. None the less, this offers superior coverage and creates a soft even complexion. It is not too heavy and it is pretty amazing when applied. It is a more pricey than some other products, but considering that you put your "face forward" , it is worth the investment. Note: Sephora used to carry this product and I am not sure if they still do in some locations. It may be worth matching colors in person and then make subsequent purchases on Amazon.

I applied it with a brush for a light coverage finish and found that it did not settle into my smile lines. The Bisque color blended perfectly with my skin and there is no line of demarcation between the foundation's application on my face and my neck. This make up is cruelty free, made in Japan and is oil-free, fragrance-free, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic. Cruelty free in Japan is an oxymoron because the Japanese are depleting our whales, etc. Those are the pluses. Here is the big problem. Because it was so expensive, I foolishly saved it for special occasions. It dried out completely after only a few months althought I closed it properly. I contact the company's customer service only to be informed that there was nothing that could restore it or that they could do, so I have to toss it. What a disappointment! I tried using the dried up contents of the compact it with a damp sponge, it let me apply the make-up but it felt tight on my skin just the way pancake makeup of years gone by felt.

This is by far the best foundation I have ever worn, goes on easily, buildable coverage and natural looking. Wore it on my wedding day and every day at work!!! Vincent Longo is one of the best kept secrets in the cosmetics industry...

First complaint is that it doesn't come with a sponge. I don't know if this is a refill or what because I couldn't really determine from the listing. Also, the color is decieving. I have pretty light skin and this was too light. It felt really cool going on, literally, cold which I actually really liked. It's expensive for the amount you get. I didn't use it longer than a week but couldn't see it lasting a month and I don't know about you but I don't need new foundation every month. Then again I don't really cake it on either. Overall, too expensive for what you get but the "cold" feeling when it goes on it kinda neat.

Good product but a bit heavy.

This is the most light and natural looking foundation and I love that it is water based. It provides excellent coverage and goes on easily with a sponge. I would just die if they ever discontinued Warm Beige—I have olive undertones and it works perfectly. Cannot tell in daylight or photos that I’m wearing foundation! Everyone says I have airbrushed skin naturally and they don’t know how much foundation I’m wearing

Light and easy to apply

This is the first time this happened to me, but I opened a new container of this make up and the it wasn't full. It looked as if someone went around the periphery of the make up and used it. It was markedly decreased in amount.
