Surprisingly small, with a large sound!
I should point out that I was asked to review this radio. The first thing that struck me was how SMALL this AM/FM radio is (see photo of it next to my hand), though it does not feel cheaply made, and has some heft to it once you add the 2 AAA batteries (not included) it requires.Being so small, it can easily fit into a shirt pocket, or into an arm band / cell phone holster. And with the built in speaker, you can share the music or talk radio with others. That's not to say that you HAVE to disturb everyone around you, the radio has a built in 3.5mm jack and comes with a pair of stereo earbuds. This is despite the fact it is advertised as a MONO radio. So if you lose the earbuds you can easily use any corded stereo earbuds. The tuner seems to be nice and sensitive. It picks up all my favorite radio stations without problem, along with a good number of others, both on AM and FM.You might expect such a small radio to have a tinny sound, but if so, you'd be surprised! It has a nice sound, and gets reasonably loud. I can hear it fine in a room with the TV on.All in all, I'd say this little go-getter pleasantly surprises with it's small size, built-in speaker, and reasonable sound!

Good slim pocket radio
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. arrived earlier in good packaging. Its small but loud and powerful with a long range of signal on both am and fm. The battery life is very long and the radio itself is very sturdy.

Good little radio for broadcast reception
Listening to NPR over the internet on my phone was often frustrating here at my house. We don't have quite enough bandwidth and it was constantly cutting out. This little radio does it the old fashioned way. It's just like the little transistor radios from 1970 but smaller.Tuning can seem a little finicky but once you get your station, it's stable. This is not a high fidelity device so I wouldn't recommend it if you really want to enjoy music but for news and talk shows it's just fine. Reception is OK. Every once in a while I need to adjust it's location or antenna but this hasn't been a big deal.I've probably listened to it for about 20 hours now and haven't had to change the batteries. I don't know how long it will go.If you're after a small, old fashioned radio this is worth a try. It satisfied my need.

Best compact pocketable radio I found to date
This is the best pocketable radio I found to date with EXCELLENT sound quality thru the built-in speaker. I have been searching for a compact pocketable radio for some time, but all other small radios had poor to mediocre sound quality. The volume and tuning controls were easy to use and the off/am-fm side switch was conveniently placed. The battery cover is attached and hinged, not loose, so you can’t lose the battery cover. The earpiece has excellent response and is dual, for both ears, unlike other small radios with only a single earpiece. I’m glad I found this radio!

Great Little Radio
I got this to put in my truck camper and for camping as an emergency radio. I go places all the time with zero cell reception and wanted something for weather, news etc... I did not think I'd be using it much but I do now about every day.The Good: 1. Super light and feels natural to carry unlike most cells 2. A really bold kind of sound that's much better than phone speakers 3. Great reception on AM and FM. That's why i use it so much as I'm finding AM talk shows I never knew existed. 4. takes 2 aaa batteries so nothing to recharge and hopefully lasts a long time. 5. Headphone jack! The Bad: 1. Wish the switch to toggle from on/off and /am/fm was bigger and easier to navigate. 2. Wish the station dial was also a bit bigger as it's not always easy to tune in exactly on a station. Overall: A nice and useful product for sure.

Range pretty small
The sound is actually really good for such a small device but I’m not sure why one review said it was hefty especially with the battery in it it’s plastic and with the battery it’s very light. The problem for me is it says long range or extended range but it’s certainly is not it gets local broadcast but nothing further than local and the dial face is so small your thumb wheel will move a fraction of a millimeter and you lose the station. Are there a.m. radios I have and will pick up the very powerful stations from a nearby city but this one will not so this product did not do them for me when I was hoping it would.

Fun transistor radio
I wanted an vintage style transistor radio but I didn't want to pay the collectible prices. This radio fit the bill. The radio itself is pretty nice quality. The materials and casing are really durable. Really easy to use. The antenna pulls out and you can adjust the band and volume with the wheels and you select AM/FM with the switch. It uses two AA batteries so I ordered some rechargeable batteries so I can just charge them up when they start getting low. Great value for the price to remind you of the transistor radio days without paying a huge price.

Great reception
This transistor radio is a perfect size for an emergency kit and super easy house. The reception and sound are great on both AM and FM.
