Five StarZipper Binder, 2 Inch 3-Ring Binder with Round Rings, Expansion Panel and 5-Tab Expanding File, 580 Sheet Capacity, Black/Gray (29052IT8)

We had purchased this exact binder last year for my son's Freshman year of High School. Needless to say it looks pretty rough now, but survived all school year with all zippers intact. He liked this design so much he asked us to buy another to replace his old one. Honestly he probably could have used it longer, but the outside expansion panel was stretched from a lot of use, but still held items just fine.Well worth the purchase.There is a minor difference from last year's model to this one. Inside there is a 5 file organizer that can store loose papers, with a mesh zippered pocket on the other side. The previous model had an additional hook and loop pouch on this mesh pocket that was big enough to hold a calculator that is no longer on the newer models, so there is just a full panel mesh pocket now. That separate Velcro pocket made it easier access and retrieve larger loose items since the mesh pocket is directly connected to the semi-rigid panel that separates the binder from the file storage and is pretty tight until it breaks in. Other than that, everything else seems to be the same.

I've had various Five-Star binders throughout my life. I could have sworn that they were developed by Mead but I'm not sure if they are. The last time I used these types of binders was when I went to college, I've been out of college for nearly a decade, however, I constantly find use for items that I may be done using, I use binders to hold my card collections. If you are looking for a well-made binder to protect your cards, then you will like this product. The product has a very strong front and back cover, it feels like it can take a beating for days on end.The 2-inch rings feel nice and solid; I haven't had any issues with the rings not aligning at all. This type of binder has built in folders for easy organizing, for those who are needing to keep their paperwork nicely organized. When it comes to functionality, this binder has a total of two pockets that can be zipped. The size of this binder is perfect for those who are collecting cards or going to school. If you need to close your binder, the zipper does an awesome job, I haven't had any issues with them at all so far. One addition to these binders that I never had when I was in school was that these binders now come with a carrying handle, having a carrying handle really helps with the functionality. If I had this type of binder when I went to school in the 1980's and 1990's I would have really appreciated the handle to hold my binder.Overall, I give this binder 5 stars because I've had literally no issues with the "Five-Star" brand binders every time I bought them.

I use this to hold my calculus 2 textbook and it fits just perfect! Wish it was a bit bigger though but I loved it. The picture shows yellow but it kinda looks more greenish. Like a softer yellow-green tennis ball. Wish it was a bit thicker it feels thin, I don't know if that makes sense. The quality is great though!

My son uses this daily in middle school. Some areas have ripped, but overall this product has been a lifesaver for him. The handle is apparently the best part about this binder.

2nd binder I have purchased. The first one last around 4 years. I was really impressed, especially for a teen boy. Got it as a 7th grader and this year the zipper finally gave out. Decided to go with another to last him the rest of high school.

This is durable and one of the best purchases I made! My son hates bookings so he vouched for this. Hesitantly, I purchased this, we'll, because I did not want to spend money on something he would not use.. Now my son is very careless but this thing has SURVIVED. It has folders for his subjects, notebooks, pens/pencils/markers/ even space for his laptop!! Definitely recommend!!!

Didn't even last all year and I didn't have time to empty it out and send pictures for a new one so that was an overpriced piece of junk, I'll be buying another brand next year.

Bought this for my daughter for school in September and she loved it, but by March the zipper had broken. Some of the teeth had come off. My daughter was very disappointed.
