Very good smoked cheese taste
This tastes really good. I purchased this not knowing it was non dairy. lol. It tastes like real smoked provolone. Really good smoky cheese taste. Would be good in a Mac and Cheese or on a sandwich.

How a non-vegan loves this product
For the past few years I have been moving closer to vegetarian and my doctor wants me to divorce dairy. I watched some reviews and taste tests before deciding on this VIOlife sliced Provolone for my maiden voyage. The cheese was so good, I ate some of it straight out of the package. It was fantastic on my vegan turkey lunch meat, vegan cheese, vegan mayo, sprouts, tomato, and pickles. I enjoyed it so much I don't see myself going back to dairy cheese. The other products were just as good! I am excited about exploring other possibilities.

My favorite vegan cheese
The only flavor and brand of vegan cheese that doesn’t have a weird after taste. Smells exactly like provolone cheese and it’s worth the money in my opinion. It even melts just like cheese too which is awesome.

Pretty good imitation provolone
Has a definite flavor, not just another generic ’cheese’ taste. It’s very similar to what I remember dairy provolone tasting like. It does have the same texture as other plant based sliced ‘cheese’. I bought it to use in a lasagna, it did not melt much or brown at all but it did add a nice amount of flavor. It worked better as a texture when layered in the lasagna opposed to laying on top to brown . I plan to continue using in baked pasta dishes. Melts just enough for a grilled cheese sandwich if you like your bread very toasty. Does not stretch and melt like actual cheese.

Great smoky flavor and a featured part of my favorite breakfast sandwich
Violife is quickly proving to be my favorite vegan cheese brand. I love that it's soy-free which can be difficult to find in vegan alternatives to animal products. The smoked provolone is such an excellent flavor—definitely smokey but the cheese itself is lighter like you'd expect from a provolone vs something sharper like cheddar. My favorite way to use this cheese is in a vegan breakfast sandwich: Dave's Killer Bread (specifically the 21 whole grains and seeds burger buns), a JUST egg patty, a slice of this cheese, and a dollop of ketchup. Approximately 330 calories, a good source of protein, and a very filling way to start the day!
