I'm a ginormous fan of these Safavieh chunky jute rugs! I have been purchasing them for years and are a must if you have animals in your home, especially cats! They're tough and stand up to "cat feet" which oft times be problematic during the stretching time. They can stretch and strengthen their "hands" to their heart's delight with no headaches... trust me this will save your furniture. And they are just gorgeous! Rich in color, natural, they smell very earthy. I am not a fan of much of anything synthetic so these are a TERRIFIC option for those who can't go for wool or cotton due to traffic or cleaning. My only down is the shed of jute fibre.. but I can't complain too much... we clean everyday regardless. And you can see the gurls just love them! These rugs have been some of my best purchases ever to headache free living adding warmth, style, and diversion from my furniture from the gurls... they love wrestling on them... try infusing yours with some catnip for an extra special treat after playtime!I find them comfortable. They will slide around with your wood floors if you have an active family of rug rats as we do... great option are grip mats underneath but if you don't mind just adjust in the morning before work. 😊👍💖

I've looked at a lot of rugs trying to find a sage green and rust/terracotta colored rug. I just received this so it's not opened yet. The colors are exactly what I was looking for to match my furniture. I'll update the review once I've opened and used the rug. I got the green/natural color.

Very nice. Obviously is a bit rough on bare feet but I expected that. I flooded in Helene so a replacement for what I had. Highly recommend& so inexpensive just replace in yr or 2. I use it in front of my kitchen sink.

Like the color, style and texture. It is not slip resistant. Wish I would had ordered a bigger size.

Very nice quality; heavy weave, kinda boho style. One side, the top, is quite burly with rises row. The bottom is more flat, a more uniform depth of pile. I feel it is reversible.

This rug is the most disgusting thing that has ever happened to me. I saw the reviews about dirt, but there were also rave reviews, and I really, really liked the look of this rug. I decided to give it a chance, hoping the dirt reviews were somehow a fluke. Worst. Decision. Ever. The reviews about dirt are no exaggeration - quite the opposite! They don't do the problem justice! Immediately after opening the plastic, I noticed dirt. Everywhere. I decided to unroll the rug a bit and try to vacuum it, as one reviewer suggested. It quickly became apparent that this was a ridiculous effort. I vacuumed a dozen times, but with each shift of the rug, more dirt appeared. It is a thick, heavy, woven rug. There is no way you can just shake the dirt out. It is like someone buried it in their garden, dug it up, shook it out a little, and delivered it to your doorstep. It even smells like thick, wet dirt. The smell got stronger the longer it was out of the plastic. I could smell it from the next room. I am not one of those people who can't stand "natural" smells. But this smells like someone dug up a few wheelbarrowfuls of dirt after a rainstorm, and dumped it in your living room. I would not use this rug on a patio or in a shed, much less in the house! The only people who would like this rug are people who live with 10 dogs and 5 goats, and frankly I think even they would have qualms about it. I would give it no stars if I could. I don't know how Amazon can sell something like this. The only good thing I can say is the return process was relatively painless. There was no return shipping charge, and you can ask UPS to pick it up for you. I nearly wept for joy when the USP guy came to lug this disgusting thing out of my house forever.

This is a beautiful rug BUT…. CAT OWNERS beware! Actually, I would say owners of pets who groom their feet beware.I got this rug in the red/brick color and it’s beautiful, but the rug sheds like crazy. I vacuum it everyday and everyday there is a ton of red fibers in the vacuum bin. I have red fibers woven into the bottom of my socks when I go without shoes. I was overlooking this issue since I really loved the rug.BUT, I have a cat that grooms his feet as if his life depends on it and last week I noticed he started coughing/retching bad. Vet found nothing.It took a while for me to make the connection but after seeing he tracked red fibers into the tub (he drinks out of a dripping faucet), I realized he must be ingesting the coarse fibers when he grooms his feet. These fibers are rough and must be getting caught in his throat. Since I have removed the rug, his issue is subsiding. If you don’t have pets, get the rug - it’s beautiful but if you do have pets, keep an eye on their fur/feet holding on to fibers.

Love love love this jute carpet. Perfect finish to our lounge. Chunky texture, looks and feels very durable. Easy to layout.I will need to put slip pads under and it does slide a bit
