I wanted to like this bowl, but this is going to be a one star review. The bowl was great until the silicon lid insert kept falling out. I contacted Smart Planet customer service via email and they told me to contact Amazon about a return. I informed them that my return window had expired and asked if they could help with the defective lid. Radio silence prevailed. I did read other comments that referenced this lid issue which is very frustrating as it slips into your salad dressing and cause a big mess. Smart Planet should stand by its product and provide better customer service. I got 6 weeks of use out of this product. Buyers beware!

This salad container is big and it's nice that it's collapsible, but that's all it has going for it. It's really difficult to take the topping container out, and bowl keeps trying to collapse even when full of salad. I bought the BentGo salad container at the same time and that's much better (so far). I wouldn't purchase this again.

I purchased these bowls (2) in late April. I tried out the top tray for various salad add-ins (croutons, chicken, etc.) and found them to be a bit too small for my needs. And I agree with other consumers in that the tray was hard to get out of the bowl. The spoon/fork combo is pretty useless at its size.My plan for these bowls was to have something collapsible that I could bring to work, mix my salad, and bring it back home. Rinse and repeat. The tabs on the lid don't always stay secure. My biggest issue with these bowls is that they both started to smell after a little more than 2 months of use. They have this weird plasticky smell that I can't get rid of in the dishwasher or by hand washing. I can't eat my salad out of them because the salad smell is overpowered by the plastic smell. I am very disappointed I purchased these bowls and wish I was still within the return window as they were a complete waste of money.

I am IN LOVE with this container and all of smart planets eco line. No, I'm not being paid to say that.As a working college student I sometimes have to pack a days worth of food to-go and these containers are THEE best! I love the compartments to keep things separated and fresh until you're ready to eat them. They provide portion control so I don't have to measure anything, and I've had no problems with leaks. (Though I am careful to keep them upright in my lunch box).I've used this container for salads, soups (the base is microwaveable!), and left-overs too. They are VERY easy to clean and top-rack dishwasher safe. Plus, there ability to collapse means O can use them to carry as much or as little as I'd like and once I'm done, they take up very little space in my bag.I'm purchasing them as gifts for my food-toting friends. Yes, THIS is the container you want!

I, like other reviewers, wanted to like this product. Alas, it is not all it's cracked up to be...The main issues I found in my first use were:1. The toppings tray is VERY difficult to get out of the bowl, even when it's empty. When you actually put food in it, you will be lucky to get it out without spilling it all and making a mess. There goes lunch...2. The dressing container is very difficult to get open. The thing that looks like a lift tab is actually the hinge (which is pretty flimsy to boot). So the only way to get it open is to use a thumbnail in the crack. If your nails are really short or if you have a manicure you don't want to mess up, no dressing for you!3. While the bottom is purported to be dishwasher-safe, the rest of the pieces are not. The lid, insert, dressing container, and utensil all need to be hand washed. Who has that kind of extra time for something that's supposed to be frequently used? I sure don't.Seriously, did the people who designed and made this ever try actually using it?

Looks nice but not practical for someone who eats salad as the main meal. If you like to keep everything separate until you ready to eat, this isn’t the salad kit for you. The top compartments are not deep enough and it’s a real challenge getting it out.Also, the lid has to be placed accordingly to avoid leaking. And, the fork was really not doing the job for me.

it took me some time to look for a right salad to-go bowl and gladly found this one. I wanted to find a bowl that can fit a lot of vegies and have space for me to mix things together and it did a good job. My husband loves that it can be folded. the only thing i don't really like is that you can not fit a lot of stuff on the top plate. i have to put meat in the bottom level sometimes. But overall, we love it

I wanted to love this, because it is tough to find travel bowls large enough for those of us who eat big salads (I follow Bright Line Eating so my salads have 10+oz veggies plus protein and fat), but it felt flimsy and the contents were immediately squished by the flexible walls and bottom. I also tested it before I used it and the top is most definitely not liquid-safe, so any condensation or moisture (like from cut tomatoes, olives or cucumbers) would come right out as soon as you tip your lunch bag. I gave two stars for a great idea and in case mine was one of the few to be made poorly. The search for the perfect large salad container continues.

Me encanta este producto, es muy práctico y libre de plásticos y químicos dañinos, puedo comer una ensalada grande con toppings y aderezo de un mismo recipiente sin que se mezclen los ingredientes y manteniéndola fresca. Muy satisfecha con el producto.

Great idea but the quality is lacking, I washed it in the dishwasher, upper rack like it suggests since then the clasps from the lid won’t latch properly. It’s a fairly expensive container to use 5-6 times before it’s usuless.

My daughter loves these and we keep buying them but the lids keep breaking. We had to send the most recent one back as the lid snapped off out of the box. Great product but they do need to figure out how to make the lids stronger.

It's so big and clunky even though it collapses. I used it probably twice, felt silly having such a huge and heavy container then chucked it.
