I love this book. It presents colloquialism as well as vocabulary and verb conjugation in an easy to digest way. I'm remembering things from previous lessons as I continue through the book. This is a great resource for English first language speakers getting into Hindi.

If you are trying to learn Hindi as an additional language, this definitely is not the product to use for it. The book as well as the audio online is absolutely ungraspable at least to me that does not know anything of the Hindi language.

The kindle version of this book isn't very user friendly. The text is very small and it's not possible to enlarge it like other kindle versions where the actual text size increases. You can enlarge the page, but it's like enlarging a pdf document. This does allow you to make the page bigger, but it ends up off center, and if you move it to the center, everything is okay until you have to go to the next page where everything gets knocked off center again.Another thing I don't like about the book is how it doesn't use romanized translations in the first 6 chapters while it's teaching the alphabet/syllabary. They claim they don't want to confuse people with "messy" transliterations, and they want you to start immediately only thinking in Hindi. This sounds great in theory, but in practice, I think they should've provided the romanized translations in the first 6 chapters as a learning aid. For me, those training wheels would've precluded me from having to constantly go back and forth between the first 6 chapters to review the right pronunciation for the right letter. If I had the romanized translations, it would've been so much easier and efficient grasping the pronunciation. Again, I get them not wanting people to use the translations as a crutch, but I think they could've eliminated them later on, after learners had a better grasp of the different pronunciations.
