This is a fantastic dump truck for the money...You simply cannot beat this performance for the price (and trust me I have researched a lot of RC dump trucks) Controls are tight, really good construction quality/details, and it hauls a lot more weight than anything close to this price point. Only negative is that the truck is not really 1/14 scale...it's more like 1/16 scale but it's plenty big enough and most customers won't know the difference or care. Overall, I can't say enough good about this Dump truck and at $33, this thing is a steal. I bought two and turned one into a RC semi tractor to haul my lowbed trailer. Worked so well, I am thinking of buying another to make a flatbed car hauler.

this is now the third one ordered. the first was bought a few months back for my co-workers son here in Bulgaria as a gift from his father. it was so well received that the little boys cousins were smitten by the little remote control truck. me co-worker had to get two more for his nephews. the price point was (by a comparable toy found here in eastern europe) very good as well. the children have used it along with a backhoe, dozer and i think one other piece maybe here at the beaches in the sand and it keeps the kids playing for the longest time and having a grand time. the children just love the toys and use them as a team. one operates the truck while another the backhoe and so forth. money well spent

Truck works GREAT!Gets stuck easy in dirt, front end just sinks into the dirt, or it gets high centered on a rock the size of a DIME, due to LOW GROUND CLEARANCEEvery Function works, lights, blinkers, sound kit and dump bed. its a nice unit aside from the fact that it gets stuck alot. still trying to come up with a DIY solution for not being able to drive over non hard packed dirt.Dump Bed Servo is very strong, i have filled the bed to the point it was overflowing with dirt and the truck dumps it with NO issues. Very well made.-1 star because it really should be able to drive in the dirt BETTER than it can now, kinda hard to get to a digging excavator to get a load, if you cant drive across somewhat packed down dirt without getting stuck lol.Still a Sweet truck, even if i eventually have to put an AXIAL frame, and drivetrain under it.

I grew up with Tonka trucks. So some sixty years later I'm looking for the modern version for my grandkids to use in our sandbox. I started with the Top Race excavator but it was soon evident that a dump truck was necessary. Enter the TR-212. With the steel dump bed, it felt like my old ones. But oh so much more! This thing is built well. With soft sand, it had some problems going forward. I put a 5 lb. rock in the dump bed--no problem. Plenty of power. And the fine touches are evident. You can even align the steering if it doesn't go quite straight. I appreciate that Top Race is committed to building a good product. They get used by the young road builders.

I bought the Top Race TR-212 dump truck to play with my grandson, but he took it over. I own a few good Traxxas RCs and felt for the price to give this dump truck a try.I was surprised. It looks good, seems well made (only had it for 10 days) and the remote functions are pretty good.Functions: forward, backward, left, right, dumpster up and down, lights on/off, engine sound on/off. With lights on, both lights stay on going forward, both blink when backing up, blink right on right turn, blink left on left turn.It also has the beeping sound most large vehicles make backing up.My grandson has used it daily since we got in 10 days ago. He can operate all the remote functions easily, except his hands are too small to hold the remote and operate the fwd/back and left/right toggles at the same time. He loves loading up blocks and legos in the dumpster and driving down the hallway and dumping. (make sure legos or blocks are small enough to fit under the dumpster gate)The battery has lasted between 1- 3 hours between charges, however, I can't say what the total continuous battery life per charge would be.It's only been used indoors so far. I know what cleaning I go through with my other RCs, and don't want to do that cleaning yet.Very satisfied with the purchase, but I'll have to buy a Top Rank excavator or backhoe so I can load the dump truck for my grandson...lol.

This truck looks nice, but does not work.Remote only stays connected to the truck for a few seconds, then disconnects and needs to be turned off and back on.I also bought the Excavator and front loader to go with it. The Excavator works and would be awesome (front loader plus, minus), except the batteries on all of them take hours to charge and then burn out in minutes.These toys are literally unusable. You can’t play with them without the remote because none of the parts are freely moveable. They are basically expensive model trucks.I’m so angry about the 4+ reviews. I would think maybe I got a lemon, but 3 trucks from the same company all have the same problems!BTW, I buy a ton of crap on Amazon and never leave reviews. These are really bad, buyers beware!

The truck is pretty good quality especially for the money. It could be heavier and the steering is all or nothing but with practice you can drive it around with accuracy. I added self stick wheel weights to make it heavy enough to drive around even when the truck bed is empty. I like it.
